• Weekend Hot! or Hmm… Rita Ora, Lucy Liu, Jill Scott, and More!

    Happy Monday everyone!

I’m quite exhausted from the 2014 BET Awards — the show lasted almost 4 hours!

Celebs definitely flocked to LA for awards-show related activities, though a few other stars were spotted while out and about and at red carpet events.

    Let’s see who donned what:

Ashanti kept it cute and casual at the 2014 BET Awards Radio Broadcast Center Day 2 in a black driving cap, aviators, a printed short set, and Jordans.

A blush pink dress and elegant updo were Jill Scott’s choices for the event. She’s always a vision.

Keke Palmer outfitted herself in a graphic print tank, destructed denim, and blue crisscross sandals.

There’s never a time when Fonzworth Bentley doesn’t look dapper! He kept it simple yet polished in expertly-tailored suit separates.

Goapele opted for a brown jumpsuit and black lace-up sandals, offset with her blonde cropped ‘do and large hoops. Nude or gold metallic sandals would have been best here, but she’s so gorgeous that it’s often hard to even get past her face!

A sporty chic tank and contrast knee sweatpants were uplifted on Sundy Carter with a sleek topknot and white strappy sandals. I liked this look a lot, but ladies…the no-bra trend isn’t for everyone.

Rita Ora took to the streets of London in a $126 W.I.A. Collections Rich Egipt Long T-Shirt, matching $232 Rich Egipt Crop Pants, a pair of Christian Louboutin Miss Rigidaine Pumps, and a $65 Moschino Ice Cream iPhone 5 case. The separates were fun and I’m a sucker for a whimsical phone case, but everything paired together was sensory overload.

At the Meena NYC Premiere, Lucy Liu stuck to the classic color palette of black and white in an Antonio Berardi dress, given a pop of color with an orange Bottega Veneta clutch. I’m always here for Lucy’s style!

Michelle Williams was gilded at the 2014 BET Awards Debra Lee Pre-Dinner in LA in a gold lamé ruched Deanzign dress and black and gold Jimmy Choo sandals. I’ve been wholly impressed with Michelle’s style choices of late.

Chanel Iman and Heidy de la Rosa were poolside chic at the Oakley Learn To Ride-Surf in Cabo, sporting a sheer crochet dress over a bandeau and cutoffs and a bustier crop top and printed skirt, respectively. Both were great party-ready Summer looks.

It was all about the plunging neckline for Bridget Kelly who skewed sultry in a gown boasting the sexy detail at the 37th Annual Rhythm and Soul Music Awards. Hot!

Terrence J was suited up in eggplant and black at the awards show. He always gets it right in the fashion department.

I’m usually here for Elle Varner’s quirky style, but her pink pleated gown came off a bit juvenile when paired with white leather cutout booties at the Pantene and Poetic Justice Jeans Fashion Show during the 2014 BET Experience L.A. Live.
