Happy Monday everyone!
NYC experienced some snow again: hey Mother Nature, can you give us a break?
Luckily, I indulged in the shows from London Fashion Week and the looks of celebs at parties and awards shows this weekend to keep my mind off the weather.
Check out this weekend’s ensembles:
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade were on hand to celebrate Lebron James’s March 2014 GQ cover during 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. Gabrielle flaunted her slender figure in a $1,425 Moschino Strapless Dress, while Dwyane gave his three-piece suit and bow tie a pop of print with camo trainers. Why the kicks Dwyane? They tarnished a great look!
The man of the night went bold in a green textured blazer. Lebron has immaculate style doesn’t he?
Terrence J looked dapper in an expertly-tailored suit. He’s a cutie.
Blake Griffin combined taupe with black at the event, which can usually be quite tricky. I happen to think Blake is pretty darn good-looking, but even if I didn’t, I still like the way this came together!
I barely recognized Keyshia Cole! The songstress skewed a bit goth with dark lips and an all-leather ensemble.
Miguel is a guy after my own heart as he loves Saint Laurent! The crooner was biker chic in a studded leather jacket from the French fashion house.
I quite liked James Harden’s printed blazer and glossy kicks.
Janelle Monae stuck to her signature color palette in a casual black and white ensemble.
Kevin Durant gave his grey suit a splash of color with turquoise sneakers.
Chris and Adrienne Bosh dressed up for the occasion. How cute was Adrienne’s lace-detailed dress?
Skylar Diggins showed off her mile-long stems in a ribbed mini dress and platform wedges. I really liked this dress, but the shoes anchored the look in the wrong way. One can rarely go wrong with a patent pointed-toe pump you know?
Jesse Williams is as fine as they come, but his look was way too casual for my taste. The object in his hoodie was also a bit jarring.
Dao-Yi Chow of Public School tapped into his athletic-inspired style in an all-black ensemble, offset with colorful trainers. I’m slowly, but surely seeing that this is a go-to look for him.
Rapper Juvenile stopped by the fête in his hometown. He’s no style star, but his discography speaks for itself!
Across the pond, Jourdan Dunn looked every bit the model in winter white at the Mulberry Dinner celebrating the launch of Cara Delevingne’s collection with the brand at Claridge’s Hotel in London. Hot!
Ashley Madekwe was pretty in pink in a strapless Whistles jumpsuit at the brand’s Fall 2014 presentation during LFW. Don’t you just love her style?
Meagan Good played co-host at the MS Entertainment and Hairfinity Event with Chris Paul during All Star weekend in a plaid button-front shirt, denim cutoffs, and tights. I’m not totally sold on the look, but Meagan’s hair and makeup? Flawless!
Bridget Kelly was also at the awards show in a Jovani gown. Fabulous no?
Ashanti made an appearance on 106 & Park in a crop top and black and white printed leggings.
Closing out the week was Kandi Burruss who flaunted her curves at the Mixology Suite during All Star Weekend in a turtleneck and pencil skirt.
Who did you give a thumbs up in the style department this weekend?
