• So here’s one-half of a rumor we can put to rest: Anna Wintour will not be the next US ambassador to London, so we can finally stop talking about it. Except… there is still a possibility the editrix might represent our fair nation with an ambassadorship to Paris, France. According to the Daily Mail, First Lady Michelle Obama is really gunning for Wintour to snag the spot. But not everyone is into it. British Journalist Toby Young has made clear his disapproval, saying: “It’s hard to imagine a personality less suited to the world of international diplomacy.” He elaborated, “She left school at 16 and has been working in fashion ever since. Obama’s chauffeur probably knows more about international relations than her. It’s like Caligula making his horse a senator.” Tell us how you really feel, Toby! What do you think? Would Anna make a good ambassador? (Daily Mail)
