Charlie Rose‘s John Galliano interview taped yesterday, and today, it is available to watch online. In the harrowing sit-down chat, Galliano appears more vulnerable, open, and remorseful about the incident in that Parisian cafe that got him fired from his position as creative director of Dior. The disgraced designer says that at the time, he was “blackout drinking,” as a way to cope with the stress of having to create 32 collections a year– both for Dior and his namesake brand. Even in lieu of this horrible misstep, Galliano says that it has at least caused him to rethink and change his behavior. “I’m so grateful that I am alive – not for what happened, but as a result of what happened, I have been able to spend some time on myself, understand these emotions that I couldn’t express – the difference between emotions and feelings and how I could change that,” he said. “Before, I would be upset or angry and it would go on for four days or five days. Now I know that I can change that. I wasn’t aware of that before. I was emotionally, spiritually, physically and mentally bankrupt. I didn’t know it, but I had a very big breakdown.” Peep the clip above, and watch the whole thing at the Charlie Rose website. (Charlie Rose)

Tabitha Simmons has been enjoying a bit of popularity with mainstream brands as of late. Her CFDA capsule collection with J.Crew was a definite favorite of the fashion crowd. Now, Ms. Simmons is getting together for another footwear collaboration, this time designing women’s and children’s printed confections for TOMS. Expect  the line to launch in November, with women’s styles going for $124 to $168 and kid’s shoes running between $42 to $46. Look out for them in November! (WWD)

• Is it just me, or are jewelry heists totally trending right now? Last month, millions of dollars in jewels were stolen from the Cannes film festival through two separate incidents, and now Tiffany’s been hit with a burglary of its own. On Tuesday, a be-suited gentleman walked into the jeweler’s 57th street location, and asked a store associate if he could see two gem-encrusted chains. After somehow managing to distract the clerk, the thief snatched up the two necklaces, and ran out the door, making off with $100,000 worth of bling. The whole incident was caught on the store’s surveillance, and as someone who watches her fair share of crime dramas—I gotta give the homie props for that newsboy cap. Smart way to obscure your face from the security cameras! (NYDN)

Kate Moss’s slight frame is the last you’d expect to see in Playboy magazine, but it looks like the ladmag is looking to go in a more fashion-forward direction for its 60th anniversary issue. Famed hairstylist Oribe confirmed to Refinery 29 that the cover spread has already been shot (my Mert and Marcus, natch), as he was on set laying her golden locks. The issue will hit newsstands in January, so be on the lookout! (Refinery 29)
