• After scoring $80 million from Crystal Financial LLC (a big investor) to keep the company from folding, people are wondering how long until American Apparel CEO Dov Charney runs out of luck, and won’t be able to find someone to cover his enormous debt. The company is staying afloat almost entirely on loans, and one of their biggest is due to be paid ($50 million to Bank of America) in July. This  would explain the three-month extension of the American Apparel warehouse sale in New York City. But with their stock steadily decreasing (American Apparel is now worth only 92 cents a share), it’s only a matter of time until the company runs out of options. The affair will be hosted by Seth Meyers, the perfect person to head a self-congratulatory ceremony for the CFDA (WWD)
