Rihanna tapped Jourdan Dunn, Ataui Deng, and Stef Bambi to appear in the campaign for her forthcoming River Island collaboration. And that’s a wrap at the end of a 2 day shoot w/ MARIO SORRENTI.” Sounds like a stellar line up, let’s hope the clothes live up to the hype. (The YBF)

    • Playboy is dipping its hands into the high fashion market, announcing plans to collaborate with a series of acclaimed, high-end designers. Women’s Wear Daily dedicates an entire article to speculating whether or not Anna Wintour might ever become a US ambassador to France or Britain. Yes, the “fossilized rumor” (their words!) has been beaten to death, exhumed, and once again thrown into the earth. But the folks over at Bloomberg News say the President is indeed considering one of his biggest fundraisers for the spot. What do you think? Would Ms. Wintour make a good ambassador? (WWD)

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West famously caused a hubbub when they were an hour late to Setphane Rolland’s couture show earlier this year. While some might find Yeezy’s love of couture a little odd, Rolland himself remains unsurprised by the rapper’s interest: “Kanye is an authentic artist,” Rolland told Vogue UK. “By that I mean a well-trained aesthete – his interest in couture and its level of sophistication is no surprise. Kim is a modern icon of mainstream culture. Nothing has changed. The world of luxury, in which couture is a guiding light, has always attracted a diverse range of personalities; age or social status do not change anything.” (Vogue UK)

    • Somebody pranked the folks over at Jezebel, sending them a press release for a phony PINK Loves Consent line. The range offered panties emblazoned with anti-rape phrases like “Consent is Sexy” and “Ask First.” A Media Relations representative at VS denied the brand’s involvement with the campaign, but noted Victoria’s Secret’s been taking cultural insensitivity claims very seriously after upsetting a host of people by sending Karlie Kloss down the runway in a Native American-inspired costume during this year’s fashion show.
