The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Rihanna Cuts Her Hair Again, Karen Elson Granted Restraining Order Against Jack White, and The Madness at Alexander Wang’s Clothing Giveaway

• I guess gray hair wasn’t the wave for Badgalriri. The singer’s already changed up her look, a mere two weeks after dying her locks. This time, she’s dishing sexy soccer mom realness with a cropped and curly ‘do. Not sure how much I love this new hair, but I’m sure Rih will manage to make it work! • You didn’t need another reason to be envious of Cara Delevingne, but Vogue UK is happy to provide one in this behind-the-scenes look at the model’s September issue shoot, with the ageless Pharrell Williams. Click through to watch Delevingne get rocked ever so gently in Pharrell’s arms, as you seethe with irrational jealousy. *Sigh* Some girls have all the luck! (Vogue UK)

Karen Elson‘s divorce from Jack White got ugly when the model was granted a restraining order against her estranged ex. White has allegedly been harassing Elson so much that she is now concerned “for her and the children’s safety.” The White Stripes front man is now banned from contacting Elson, “except as it relates to parenting time with the parties’ minor children”. He can only communicate with her through e-mail.  (Vogue UK)

•  Katie Holmes is a busy bee. Between filming, raising a seven-year-old, and working on her Holmes & Yang label (which will show New York Fashion Week again this season,) she’s managed to find time to get her feet wet in the beauty industry. The actress will debut The Bobbi & Kate Collection this September, a cosmetics effort in partnership with Bobbi Brown. Products include a mini eye pencil, 8-color eyeshadow palette, two Pot Rouges, and a set of brushes. And expect more from the pair: Brown and Holmes will start working on skincare offerings next month. Glad to see Katie doing big things! (WWD)

• Deborah Lippmann is celebrating her foray into Sephora stores with an exclusive collection for the cosmetics retailer. The four-piece offering has three creamy colors: a pastel purple called Lilac Wine, a gray called Chasing Pavements, and a candy colored pink by the name of She-Bop. Also included is a fuchsia-based glittery lacquer called 99 Luftballons. You can find these shades, as well as the entire Deborah Lippmann range in Sephora stores this September. (WWD)

• Full disclosure: I cried real tears (seriously– I did) when I found out that Alexander Wang‘s secret event was a giveaway of clothes from his T by Alexander Wang diffusion line. But from the looks of this video the brand released of the actual event, it’s probably better that I was safely tucked away in my hill-perched abode. The short, lensed by Jawbreaker director Darren Stein, shows crazed fans crawling on the ground, getting into heated scuffles, punching in boxes, and all manner of wild behavior over Wang’s wondrous wares. It’s amazing how quickly one can forget their home training when free clothes are involved! (Fashion Bomb Inbox, Fashionista)
