The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Naomi Campbell Allegedly Trying to Ruin Luo Zilin’s Modeling Career, Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne’s Rumored Clothing Line, and Stylist Annabel Tollman Dead at 36

zi-lin-naomi-campbell• Can’t say we didn’t see this coming. Page Six claims that Naomi Campbell is working to destroy any hopes of a modeling career for Luo Zilin, ex-Team Naomi member on The Face, and current canoodler with Campbell’s ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin. Sources say the supermodel has allegedly reached out to Zilin’s Chinese model agent, requesting that they drop her from the roster. According to this phantom ‘insider,’ “Naomi has been calling colleagues in the industry to try and stop Luo’s career. She is trying to take this woman out for no reason other than dating her ex-boyfriend. Luo was fired by her management firm [MIX Model Management], and her Chinese agent has been asked to drop her. Naomi is trying to wreck her career. She has a lot of power in the modeling world.”  There are others who say that Naomi is far too busy with the UK version of The Face to be concerned with the matter. “She is totally focused on ‘The Face,” the source said. “She’s in London working around the clock on the British version of the show. This isn’t easy for Naomi. This relationship seems almost designed to hurt her. She is trying hard to keep a brave face and not to think about it. Naomi isn’t trying to destroy Luo’s career, Luo’s agents wanted to get rid of her.” I guess we can’t know for sure if Naomi is indeed trying to sabotage Luo Zilin, but if she really was, could you blame her? • What the world needs now is another celebrity clothing line, and The Sun is suggesting that singer Rita Ora and model Cara Delevingne intend on blessing us with one. A source tells the rag, “Rita and Cara have been talking about the idea for weeks now. Cara has great fashion industry contacts and Rita loves her clothes and keeps up with trends,” adding, “They think a line could compete with those released by Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss for Topshop.” My, what lofty expectations! Of course, these are just rumors, but  do you think you would buy anything from this allegedly budding ‘design’ duo? (The Sun)

• Today, the fashion world mourns the loss of celebrity stylist Annabel Tollman, who passed in her sleep earlier this week  from a blood clot. The 36-year-old was known  for dressing some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, with a client roster boasting Scarlett Johansson, Liv Tyler, and The Olsen twins. Tollman was also Interview magazine’s first fashion director, and also filled the same post at Wallpaper magazine. Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of Tollman, who all no doubt mourn the loss of this decorated industry fixture. (NYDN)
