Oscar de la Renta is the latest designer to collaborate with an e-tailer on a capsule collection. The Couture Council Lifetime Achievement award winner is teaming with The Outnet on an exclusive 24-piece range set to launch February 26th. The collection consists of already-developed patterns and fabrics from previous de la Renta collections: “We have things around here that are underutilized — [such as] 40 years of patterns, fabrics and artwork that a lot of people spent time on,” explained CEO Alex Bolden: “We thought, perhaps we can put something together in a way that is new, that doesn’t require as much development time and in an exclusive way.” The collection will be less expensive than the label’s mainline offerings, with prices ranging from $395 to $1,295. • Even though they’ve been doing quite well with advertisers, Condé Nast is scaling back W Magazine, which will now release only 10 issues per year, as opposed to the customary 12. (WWD)

    • Is John Galliano suing Dior? It looks like it. Just this morning, WWD tweeted, “John Galliano attends a Paris court hearing into his suit against former employer Christian Dior Couture.” A couple months ago it was reported that the designer was hitting back his former employer with an $18.85 million lawsuit, but such claims were never confirmed. But if this tweet is true, it looks like Galliano might actually be looking to collect damages. Um, Get money? (Fashionista)

Reed Krakoff‘s unveiled his new jewelry collection, ‘Punk Glass,’ a range of baubles boasting scrap glass stones wrapped in metal. The designer transformed factory throwaways into lustworthy baubles costing almost as much as some people’s rent. (WWD)

Cara Delevigne has scored her very first British Vogue cover. The model is naturally, thrilled: “It doesn’t really sink in until you actually see it, that cover, that actual magazine, Vogue – it’s so great. Especially the March issue, it’s the big fashion issue, so it’s going to be pretty amazing. I’m going to run out of the shop with 20 copies in my hands, going: ‘Oh my God, this is me! Oh my God!'” (Vogue UK)
