The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Sam Edelman to Launch Apparel, 11-Year Old Moziah Bridges Helms Bowtie Business, and A First Look at The 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target Campaign

• Need an outfit to go with your Sam Edelman shoes? You’ll soon have one created entirely by the designer. For Fall 2014, Edelman’s eponymous label will drop a clothing range that will consist of tops, dresses, jackets, pants, and sweaters for women, juniors, and girls. “Apparel is the cornerstone of our expanding lifestyle presentation. The goal has always been to dress the ‘Sam Girl’ head-to-toe in my designs, and now it’s a reality,” Edelman told WWD. The women’s collection will launch in February 2014, with girls and juniors lines to come at a date yet undecided. Exciting! I can’t wait to see what Edelman’s got up his sleeve for apparel!  (WWD)

Barbie‘s wardrobe is expanding rapidly these days! She just got a makeover by three of the UK’s up-and-coming designers for Selfridges, and now the folks at Coach have unveiled a special edition version of the classic American doll, outfitted head-to-toe in pieces specially designed by the label. To match her genuine leather bag (the first Barbie’s ever had,) is a tattersall trench, sweater, suede skirt, red sunnies and heels. Mattel produced only 13,000 of this limited edition doll, which will be available worldwide at Coach stores,, and Mattel shops for $95. (WWD)

• When I was 11 years old, my greatest accomplishment was that I managed to finish 6th grade without getting beaten up. Young entrepreneur Moziah Bridges however, can count his fledgling Mo’s Bows business amongst his list of accomplishments. The very stylish youngster has created a line of bowties that he’s selling on Etsy, and he’s already turned a profit of about $30,000! Moziah got the idea to start his own collection when he, a self-described “dapper young man,” couldn’t find any ties to suit his tastes. With the help of his grandmother, who taught him how to sew, Moziah started to create his own neckwear. Check out Moziah’s Etsy shop, featuring over 60 styles of his ties. How cute is he? (Telegraph)
