While we cast a strong side glance at shirts proclaiming “I’m Very Rich,” do we have the same reaction to designer logo t-shirts?
Rihanna caught a flight in LAX this past weekend in a pair of readers, a maxi skirt, and a branded Céline shirt:

No, she wasn’t wearing one of the brand’s popular silk blouses (like Kanye or Jessica Simpson), or carrying one of Phoebe Philo’s uber expensive, wait listed handbags. She was wearing a $405 logo tee, illustrating (in her own way), her wealth and how much she probably paid for the item.
Rihanna is of course not the first to do so. Basketball players, moguls, rappers, and reality stars have been sidling up to YSL’s $285 logo tee’s for years:

Sometimes the beauty in wealth or living a life of luxury is in the subtle sartorial details. A diamond encrusted watch, a horsebit belt, a pair of chic heels, or a bag with a signature silhouette.
Screaming from the rooftops about your bank account can seem pretty obnoxious…
…but do you feel the same about branded t-shirts?
