Racked reports that Christian Siriano’s lovely sculptured shoes have hit Payless stores:
Apparently the $80 babies are still available at select locations in New York. We have a feeling it won’t be long before they’re sold out!

Louis Vuitton and Chanel both reintroduced clogs to the fashion scene in their Spring/Summer 2010 runway collections, with Louis Vuitton parading the shoes with feathers and fur, and Chanel sticking to more traditional fair:

No matter how presented, it seems the houses were set on making the early 90’s shoe fly for 2010–and to be honest, I’ve seen quite a few fashionistas clopping around in clogs:

The look has filtered down to mass retailers, with footwear designers like Jeffrey Campbell, Steve Madden, and Sam Edelman offering versions starting at $125:
I used to own a pair of clogs back in the day, and can admit that the style offers both height and comfort. And it seems as if they would be a good alternative to say…a flip flop on a ‘down’ day.
But then again, no one can deny the way a sharp stiletto can make a leg look. Clogs, on the other hand, are indisputably…unsexy.
What do you think? Would you rock a clog?

A true 80’s urbanista would never be caught on the block without a pair of Reebok Hi-Tops highlighted by multicolored slouch socks:

As one of the first athletic shoes created for women, Reebok Freestyle Hi Tops were beloved by everyone from cheerleaders to corporate ladies looking for comfort, and came in a myriad of colors including green, orange, pink, blue, white, black, red, and yellow. The shoes accounted for more than half of Reebok’s sales in 1984, and of course were a favorite of the hip hop community.

Freestyles were dubbed “5411″’s by urban trendsetters because the shoes, which typically retailed for $49.99, cost $54.11 including tax (this was mainly true for New York City).

To cement their popularity, stars featured 54-11’s in songs, with DMX rapping, “Knew she was a thug/ ‘Cuz when I met her she had her scarf on/ 54-11, size 7 in girls /Baby face, would look nice/ She was 11 with curls.”

Thus launched a new term and trend in the black community. Nowadays, you can find many reincarnations of the classic by designers like Married to the Mob and Telfar, among others:

They’re still fly, no?
What are some of your fave 54-11 memories?

Upscale Hype found Rihanna wore a HOT pair of thunderbolt pumps by Parisian designer Mai Lamore for a recent rehearsal:

Have you stopped drooling? I haven’t!
Unfortunately, there are no price details on the shoe, but you can visit Mai Lamore’s site, www.mailamore.com for buying info. She has a store on the super fancy Rue St. Honoré here in Paris (home of Christian Louboutin, Givenchy, I could go on…). If her prices are anything like their’s, I’d say these shoes are a splurge. But ya never know…
I’ll check it out!

As Louboutin’s nudge Manolo’s out of that number one shoe spot, it seems more and more lower priced brands are spawning knock offs. Pumpcicle noticed that Dollhouse’s $76 Tisch Pumps look eerily similar to Christian Louboutin’s $1,785 Lace Booties:

While both boast almost 5 inch heels and an 1 inch covered platform, Dollhouse’s version is a bit more punk rock with an ankle chain detail.
Which one would you rock?
