Solange Knowles continued her fashionable turns last night at the Hayden Planetarium for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne” the listening party:

The diva went for demure in a snow leopard top, midi length white skirt, and peep toe pumps. She topped everything off with an upswept hairstyle, deep berry lipstick, and vintage earrings.

Well it seems all the rumors were true!
Kanye West is indeed working on a womenswear line, slated to debut this fall. According to Central Saint Martins professor Louis Wilson, Mr. West will be collaborating with CSM graduate Louise Goldin (who designed Rihanna’s New Year’s Eve dress).

Wilson told the Guardian, “I think we can expect a well-considered collection, you wouldn’t expect less from a pair of professionals and I warn against dismissing it in haste. There are those who might assume Louise will be doing all the work and Kanye is just the face, I don’t believe this will be the case – he researches thoroughly and is hands on and committed to his work.”
Well alright, ‘Ye. Can’t wait to see what you have up your fashionable sleeve…

Rumors swirl fervently around Mr. Kanye West when it comes to his fashionable exploits.
Back in March some speculated he enrolled in London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. Fast forward to June when the UK Telegraph reported he was working on a collection for Spring 2012. Now Grazia claims to have exclusive details on Kanye’s New York Fashion Week debut. There has to be a grain of truth in some of this, no?

Grazia says, “We hear rumors, from excellent sources, that the hip hopper has been squirreling away on his New York Fashion Week debut womenswear collection for months now, and has employed some key Brits to help him achieve critical success. With studios in both East London and New York, Kanye has apparently hired knit-wear supremo, Louise Goldin, to oversee design, St Martins MA legend, Louise Wilson, has been giving him one-to-one tuition – which explains his previous declarations that he wanted to study at the prestigious art school – and assumptions are that he has hired a very established stylist to work as a consultant.”

So if you want to know where all the high end black designers are…apparently you should look no further than Mr. West.
I wonder what he’ll pull out of his bag of tricks–especially for womenswear. Interesting…
We’ll keep you posted.

Paris says, “I’m going on vacation to Miami and Orlando. I would love a few tips on what to wear. I’m really into changing up my looks and look to this blog and other fashion outlets to find new things to put together. You also do what a female can wear, I would LOVE a fashionable females take on what a man can wear in Miami.”
I’d say men have it pretty easy when it comes to standing out! For a day at the beach, swap out your regular khaki shorts for a bright patterned pair, anchored by striped laceless shoes or flip flops and sunnies:
