Fantastically feminine French brand Lanvin is designing an exclusive collection for H&M this fall:

Designed by flawless style architect Alber Elbaz, the collection will launch November 20th in North America and on November 23rd in the rest of the world. The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store. About the collection, Elbaz says, “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”

Y’all, I LOVE Lanvin. Alber Elbaz makes the best draped dresses, adorned with pearls, ribbons, and bows. I’m afraid his beautiful vision won’t be translated well to the mass market with inferior fabric and less room for creativity. BUT I will definitely line up for this and throw some bows for a piece! With his regular priced dresses starting at $2,500, this will be the closest I can get to an Elbaz creation for a little bit.
Gotta get it where you can.
Are you guys as excited about this as I am??
