Style Verdict: Clogs

Louis Vuitton and Chanel both reintroduced clogs to the fashion scene in their Spring/Summer 2010 runway collections, with Louis Vuitton parading the shoes with feathers and fur, and Chanel sticking to more traditional fair:

No matter how presented, it seems the houses were set on making the early 90’s shoe fly for 2010–and to be honest, I’ve seen quite a few fashionistas clopping around in clogs:

The look has filtered down to mass retailers, with footwear designers like Jeffrey Campbell, Steve Madden, and Sam Edelman offering versions starting at $125:

I used to own a pair of clogs back in the day, and can admit that the style offers both height and comfort. And it seems as if they would be a good alternative to say…a flip flop on a ‘down’ day.
But then again, no one can deny the way a sharp stiletto can make a leg look. Clogs, on the other hand, are indisputably…unsexy.
What do you think? Would you rock a clog?
