Kelcee types, “Hi Claire! And happy belated birthday (you looked fabulous in that jumpsuit)! I am going to the Solange TRUE concert this Thursday in London and need a little help coming up with an outfit that screams London chic and Solange fashion enthusiast. Please help!”
Hey Hey! Thanks for the bday wishes. If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know I love a jumpsuit–the ease of a one piece is unmatched! So for look one, I kicked off with a $450 printed cross front jumpsuit from Tucker, along with reasonable two tone heels (I like J.Crew’s Everly Pumps):
Everybody knows Solange is all about the prints, and the jumpsuit totally speaks to her sartorial proclivities. Have fun with hair, makeup, and accessories (not pictured below: Frond’s $5 Batik Bangles):
Go for a little less dressy with Etro’s Rose printed blazer, jeans, and a corseted top.
Play with prints with a pair of Theory’s Edna Aplay pumps and Loeffler Randal’s Colorblock Clutch. Add a dash of orange lipstick and a statement necklace by Dannijo:
The looks above are expensive, so the next two looks are for you divas on a budget!
This look centers on a $90 fair trade African printed peplum top and faux leather pants. Embrace comfort in studded $150 Serpent ballerina flats from Topshop. Top everything off with a $118 denim jacket from Madewell.
The last look incorporates one of Solange’s Favorite brands, Boxing Kitten.
Go the printed pant route with these Opral Trousers, now on sale for $97. Complete with a tank, yellow blazer, Geometric Statement Necklace from Bebe, and Madewell Glitter Skimmers (the Matthew Williamson clutch is a splurge, and totally optional!)
I didn’t include outerwear, but obviously throw a coat over these looks for warmth.
At any rate, what do you think?
