Happy Fashion Week Bombshells!

On Day 3, I decided to ditch the color, and go for all black with a touch of pattern. Since I planned to attend the Christian Siriano show that day, I ordered a Christian Siriano Black Mikado dress from Rent the Runway, then layered it under my Helmut Lang blazer:

I added of bit of interest with a Zara belt, along with necklaces by Michael Kors and Kenneth Jay Lane:

Because it. is. freezing, I of course pulled on a coat, and thought this Talon Blushed Blanket Jacket by BB Dakota from Karmaloop would fit the bill:

I didn’t make the same mistake as I did on day 1, so pulled on some sheer backseam hose by Spanx:

And added some height with heels from Velvet Angels–but made sure to store a pair of flats in my sturdy Givenchy bag:

And there you have it:

Day 3 Outfit: Hot! or Hmm…?

*Note, the BB Dakota coat is NOT warm. But I think it could be cool for, say, a California chill. If you want it, it’s on sale for $56 at Karmaloop (but they only have a medium). Also get it for $110 at Modcloth.
*Outfit Info: Christian Siriano Black Mikado dress from Rent the Runway. BB Dakota Blushed Blanket coat. Velvet Angels shoes. Givenchy Nightingale bag. Kenneth Jay Lane and Michael Kors necklaces.

  1. Love the heels, the bag, the dress and accessories. Not a big fan of the blazer with that outfit though. The legs….killer!

  2. Girl you look FABulous, I saw you on a picture with June Ambrose and I didn’t see you from head to toe. So I didn’t like the jacket.

But I LOVE it with the black heels. Two snaps.

  3. I posted this bag on my blog a few months ago (on my High End Envy List) and seeing you rocking it has gotten me excited about that bag all over again!! Lol…HOT!

  4. Loving the shoes, bag and coat. The dress paired with the blazer and necklaces–not so much. Something about this look is aging you—or is it the lack of sleep from all the shows and keeping us updated? Are we wearing you out, Claire?

  5. I love the all black look, but did the dress fit you properly in the bust area? I feel like it was smashing the girls.

    Great hose, giving me throwback.

  6. I don’t like everything together but each piece by it self would have been better..nice legs by the way ;)

  7. Thx y’all! @Crystal surprisingly the Velvet Angles shoes I’m wearing are a 39…I’m normally a 41. So I’d say they run big. But perhaps those had a little wiggle room, as they’re peep toe slingbacks. X

  8. Blanket jacket? where and how much please? I have actually been debating this with friends for a while whether or not a blanket can be worn as a coat…clearly it can, and it looks fantastic!

  9. @claire You look good! In the third picture I don’t know if it is the angle or what but your bust looks like it was stuffed. The second photo doesn’t have the same effect.

  10. could have been charming ..
    but
an absolute MUST to keep seams straight ..
if ya’ can’t handle it , don’t wear ’em ..
    disgusting & slovenly ..
    gimme a break !
