Hey There Bombers and Bombshells!
I’m Danielle Nicole, aka Intern 1, and I’m here to answer all your ‘What to Wear’ Inquiries.
First up is Teri, who writes, “I’m getting baptized at church on Easter and I’d love some ideas”.
Of course! I love Easter Sunday as a fashion moment because every church goer is ready to praise while dressed to the nines in their best Spring-inspired looks. No Easter Sunday ensemble would be complete without a floral printed option, so to give your look a colorful twist, opt for a vibrantly hued design like this purple and pink patterned number.
Embrace the color palette by throwing in a lavender short trench coat (get the one above at Uniqlo), a metallic strappy sandal (get the ones above here), tasseled clutch, and jeweled accessories.
To keep up with the Spring-inspired theme, for the second look, opt for pastels and sorbet colors as possible wardrobe options, like this $130 Delicate Organza peach colored dress from Topshop.
Mix and match your accessories with a mint green peep toe high heel (find the one above here) or a rose gold metallic sandal, a white and gold geometric clutch, dangly earrings, and a gold jeweled bib necklace. To finish things off, add in a salmon colored lip for an additional dash of color.
For a dress option that’s a little more subtle in color, go for a softer pastel shade with this Miss Selfridge SS13 pale blue pleated dress with a sweetheart neckline. And if you want to give the look just a slight pop of color, dress it up with a brighter blue cropped jacket.
Pale blue works wonderfully with a silver palette, so to compliment the delicate hue, opt for a stylish pair of silver metallic ballerina flats (the ones above are from Zara) and a matching handbag. Or to keep your footwear neutral go for a pair of nude pumps, like these from Lulus.com) and play up the look with dazzling gold accessories (I love these Stella & Dot earrings and Van Cleef & Arpels necklace).
Best of luck, Teri!
What do you think of the above options?
