Show Review: Versace Spring 2012

Donatella Versace took to the ocean to inspire her Spring 2012 collection, painting seashells, starfish, seahorses, and fish on a series of dresses and chic separates.

Blacks and whites set the foundation, as muted blues, purples, greens, and yellows played on seaworthy patterns.

Stud embellishments brought select garments to life, either dotting bodices or peppering waistbands.

Accessories included funky studded handbags and signature platform sandals decorated with sea creatures:

Certified Versace fan Nicki Minaj will love those.

The collection was definitely restrained for Versace, but there’s beauty in simplicity. I would wear any of the abbreviated cocktails in a quick second.

What do you think?
