Once warm weather rolls around, all stylish women want are chic pieces that are easy to slip in and out of. Luckily for them, Stella McCartney makes designs that fall into that category. She served up an entire collection of them for her latest runway effort, with a particular focus on one of her signature categories: knitwear.

McCartney’s partnership with Adidas is still going strong, thus we know she can deliver on athletic-inspired wear with little to no effort. A sporty chic flair was injected here with figure-skimming ribbed polos and matching pencil skirts, bold visor-inspired aviator shades, and strappy flatforms.

Pleats introduced movement into the designs on neon-hued frocks, asymmetric-hem tanks and maxi skirts, and strapless tunics. Bright shades are a trademark of the season and it was refreshing to see McCartney embracing vibrant shades.

The brand always has a standout stamp each season and for Spring, it’s all about swirl embroidery. The artful design was emblazoned onto a black and white dress with a sheer, sultry bodice, a sleeveless jumpsuit with a low-cut neckline, a mockneck sweater and matching trousers, and sporty chic separates.

Menswear-inspired suiting has been symbolic of the brand since its inception and McCartney reassessed the classics with functional, long-line double breasted vests, easy trousers, boxy power blazers, and strapless tunics that could double as tuxedo dresses. The looks echoed an attractive and engaging luxury, though they were at times minimalist in their approach.

Denim was given a surprising and elegant spin with off-the-shoulder, zip-front tunics, slouchy jeans that could have admittedly used a bit of hemming if they’re meant to actually be worn in real-life, and a collared, long-sleeve shirt for a modern riff on the timeless button-front shirt.

And the eyelet frocks will undoubtedly be the red carpet pieces of the season. With sheer insets, one-shoulder necklines, leg-baring lengths, and colorful tints, the dresses will certainly catapult their wearers to the top of the season’s best dressed list.
