Hippie chic is on the menu for Moschino Cheap and Chic’s Resort 2014 collection, with tie dye, long wavy hair, and flower-adorned wreaths galore. Released just in time to give the world’s “It” girls ideas on what to wear for their next music festival, Rossella Jardini and Francesca Rubino seamlessly blend that iconic late ’60s flair with the modern femininity that has become synonymous with the brand.
A hippie-inspired collection would be nothing without a floral print and the pattern is everywhere from a girly short suit to a sunflower-emblazoned coat: sure to bring a little sunshine to the real-time chill that will have already set in when the piece becomes available in stores.
Lace and bows always make an appearance, upping the coquettish ante of the designs. The looks are given an edge, anchored with leather motorcycle boots.
It seems that most of the collection’s printed pieces were made for Solange Knowles’s boho sensibility, though I can also see fan of the brand Nicki Minaj sporting the tie-dye pieces.
