Show Review: Jenni Kayne Spring 2013

Jenni Kayne is known for her structured, pared-down silhouettes, reminiscent of her laidback California upbringing. For Spring, she paired her signature aesthetic with colorblocking and her d’orsay flats for looks that were equal parts eye-catching, polished, and functional.

A multicolor tribal print gave life to trousers, Spring’s favorite cropped blouse and pencil skirt combination, and a boyfriend blazer, while a refined checkered pattern added an extra dose of  chic to a poncho, fit for the most stylish ladies who lunch.

Kayne also made stripes a focal point of the collection, but in modern and unexpected ways: blended with metallic textures and in contrasting sizes and directions for head-turning looks.

Jessica Alba is a huge fan of the brand and I can definitely see her slipping into a few of the colorblock and neon designs.

What do you think?
