BCBGMAXAZRIA is in its 25th year of business, and Max and Lubov Azria executed the brand’s signatures for its Fall 2014 collection. Effortless dressing and chic separates were on the menu, with a bullseye on fur, longer hemlines, and an undeniably cool 70’s-inspired sensibility.
Colorful, colorblock stripes on easy caftan-influenced dresses read more Spring than Fall, as did the slew of cutouts at play. Black leather knee-high boots grounded the looks in autumn.
The spotlight shined bright on outerwear. From oversized fur coats with edgy leather detailing to a contrast shearling sleeve wool bomber, the brand ensured that its fans will never go cold again.
That wasn’t the end of fur as the cozy texture showed up on hand-warming muffs in subdued tones, roomy toppers, and muted collars.
The collection wasn’t heavy in red carpet-ready attire, but a few printed gowns and embellished pieces could definitely work for a movie premiere or stylish fête.
