We first featured Azede Jean-Pierre back in 2010, but the brand has been garnering quite the buzz this year, after fashionista Solange Knowles was spotted in its designs. For Spring 2014, Jean-Pierre was inspired by nature, giving it a very whimsical and innocent spin in eye-catching hues and prints.

The season calls for brights and the brand delivered in bold, computerized prints in shades of turquoise, yellow, cherry red, lime green, and more.

The nature-inspired theme was palpable with trails of ants, scarabs, and other insects splattered across architectural dresses, cropped jackets, high-waist pencil skirts, and quirky bermuda shorts. I have a strained relationship with the creepy critters, but even I had to admit that the charming designs made a good case for them.

For a pared-down aesthetic, there were several looks that spoke to those of the more minimalist persuasion in solid shades. I could definitely see Solange Knowles in a white silk blouse and bermuda short combination, while someone like Naomie Harris would own the red carpet in a red layered cutout mini dress.
