I’m still waiting for Charlotte Olympia to release a collection I don’t like. I think I’ll be waiting a long time. The designer is debuting her Cruise 2013 offerings with Moda’Operandi, and she certainly does not disappoint.
Olympia serves us her trademark silhoettes– sky high heels with that sexy island platform, chunky wedges, kitty cat flats, and girly sandals, all uplifted by the tropical motifs we expect from resort collections.
The designer lets vibrant color blocking and satiny material do the bulk of the talking, but print has its role in these offerings as well. Bamboo stalks decorate a pair of wedges, while a Brazilian pastel print brings soft charm to a party of blinding tropical hues.
Olympia also offers a new crop of her famous Pandora clutches, with details like a bamboo and bow clasp.
My favorite piece from this collection has to be this Clio sandal. I’m a fan of animal print, and the roaring enamel leopard head gives this shoe a tough girl edge. *Sigh* if only I had $1,095 laying around.
If you’ve got the coins, the collection is available for pre-order on Moda’Operandi until Friday, June 15th.
What do you think?
