So Jamaican Style Week is in full swing! The launch party went down last night at the UDC Southern Carpark on Ocean Boulevard. With a dress code that called for pure white tropical elegance, you know people showed out!
Take a look at a few of the fab attendees:
Maya (left) and designer Juliette Dyke (right) looked super cute in their feathered hats and fascinators. Triple snaps for Maya’s asymmetrical hem and Juliette’s loose fit frock. Check out Juliette’s designs at www.julanscloset.com.
Harlem Designer Samantha Black of Sammy B Designs (who we wrote about here) is in town. She showed off her svelte body in a crochet white dress and a pop of red lip.
This lovely young lady worked it in a halter neck floor grazing gown with sheer details. Doesn’t she look ready for a beauty pageant? Gorgeous!
Not to be overlooked were the men, who seemed to take a page out of the Fashion Bomb Style Inspiration series in optic white suits. The young man on the right is Kanhai Condison, an actor, film writer, model, talent agent, and image consultant.
These lovely ladies were sitting pretty in jumpsuits and pants and tank combos.
And on my way out, I stopped these two pretty young things who were working black and white outfits. Isn’t homegirl on the right giving a little Kimora vibe?
At any rate, it was a fun night!
Stay tuned for more pix and instances from my trip to StyleWeek Jamaica.
