So after my self imposed rest on Friday, I hit up the Saturday shows with a fury, starting with the Tsumori Chisato and Chapurin shows at the Louvre, and finishing with Viktor & Rolf in the Jardin des Tuileries. The shows were amazing–Tsumori Chisato featured a gypsy theme with stripes, long flowy embellished skirts, and gauzy fabrics, Chapurin reigned with furs seemingly made for Siberian socialites, and Viktor & Rolf, wow. They really do deserve a post of their own (coming shortly!). In between runs to the shows, I took off my ‘blogger’ hat, and put on my photographer fit to snap some Real Style.
These girls looked very coordinated and Parisian in striped strong shoulder bateau tops, skinny jeans, and boots. Their all black outfits were brightened up by pink lipstick and subtle embellishments.
Bright lips were ubiquitous at yesterday’s shows, as witnessed by this pint sized fashion lover who wore a pair of sky scraping lace up shoes. She offset the chunkiness of her heavy looking stompers with a feminine bow neck jacket and sharp haircut.
How could I not take her picture? She made a statement in a multicolored fur coat, graphic loose fit pants, and Chloé sunglasses. Fashionistas go hard or go home!
Speaking of going hard, I caught these young ladies with my Iphone outside of the Louvre. They were rushing from the Chapurin show into their chauffered car, and epitomized chic while waiting. The young lady in the middle looks smashing in what looks like an Alexander McQueen jacket and Louis Vuitton red lock clutch with cat eye sunglasses. Stylista on the right is working what looks like a pair of Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo pumps with a seductively short mini and patterned tights.
Paris fashion is inspirational both on and off the runway, n’est-ce pas?
