So Paris Fashion Week has begun in earnest, and today I got my feet wet with the Manish Arora, Sharon Wauchob, Balmain, and Barbara Bui shows. My favorites so far were Manish Arora for his great use of color and sequins, and Balmain for reinventing the strong shoulder with baroque elements, brocade fabric, and gold lamé (reviews to come). In between stops on the Fashion Show shuttle bus, I of course snapped some Real Style.
I snapped designer and musician Kiddy Smile (who we wrote about here) with friends outside of the Sharon Wauchob show. I’m loving everyone’s graphic prints, bright smiles, and confident poses.
I took a picture of this dapper gentleman outside of the Manish Arora show. A freelancer for Essence Magazine, he actually took a picture of me before I took one of him. Will have to keep my eyes peeled, perhaps I’ll see my mug on Essence.com very soon…
And of course I had to catch up with some of my favorite style subjects, the guys of the blog Montaigne Street. We chit chatted a bit before the Barbari Bui show, and they revealed that they’re designers as well. Will definitely have to keep an eye out!
What do you think of their style?
