• On the Scene: The 2012 ALMA Awards

    Happy Monday everyone!

I had a fantastic, fun-filled weekend and the cooler temperatures in NYC have kicked off the start of Fall dressing.

Some of our favorite Latinas were in Pasadena this weekend, attending the 2012 ALMA Awards. From totally glamorous gowns to menswear-inspired pant suits, there was a little something for everyone.

Let’s get into the award show’s looks!

Eva Longoria hosted the show and on the red carpet she went for all-black in a gown from Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2012 collection and Tom Ford sandals. Hot!

Salmon was the shade of choice for Zoe Saldana who looked elegant in a gown from Gucci’s Resort 2013 collection.

Nicole Richie decided to switch it up and wear an emerging designer on the red carpet, in an embellished gown with sheer insets from Mathieu Mirano’s Fall 2012 collection. Get into this designer ya’ll! He has loads of talent and I hope that some other Hollywood starlets choose his gowns.

Dania Ramirez went bold in a green gown with a plunging v-neckline. Yes Dania!

Like Eva, Naya Rivera opted for all-black in a pant suit from Dolce & Gabbana. Her bombshell hair and makeup took the look to the next level!

Clearly, black was the color of the night because Christina Aguilera also wore it in embellished pumps from Christian Louboutin and a $3,895 Michael Kors Lace Inset Side Slit Gown.

America Ferrera went for navy in a Carlos Miele gown. Gorge!

Wilder Valderrama represented for the fellas and kept it simple in a black tux.

If any of you were an Ugly Betty fan like myself, then you can understand my excitement at seeing Ana Ortiz on the red carpet. Her strapless printed gown was one of my favorite looks of the night!

I had no idea that Once Upon A Time’s Evil Queen Lana Parrilla was even Latina, but she looked gorgeous in all-black with a pop of color peeking through with cherry red lips.

Who had your favorite looks of the night?
