First Lady Michelle Obama, Yara Shahidi, Taraji P. Henson, Camila Alves—Tracy Reese is no stranger to designing for powerful young ladies and women. Known for her signature dresses, she’s also been one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to putting real women on the runway, as well as becoming a champion for size inclusivity with her eponymous collection. Her latest endeavor is a collaboration with curvy online clothing brand Gwynnie Bee:

“People have asked for [these sizes for] years, almost since we started doing business at all, and traditional contemporary departments just go from 0 to 12 — it’s always been really frustrating,” Reese told Fashionista in an interview. “This is something I’ve been wanting to do for so long, and with Gwynnie Bee, what was so amazing is their technical expertise and their eye for fit for this range of customer is so spot-on.”

The brand and Reese aligned on a mix of styles that were pulled from Plenty by Tracy Reese Spring 2017, as well as designs that fit perfectly alongside Gwynnie Bee’s collection for the season. And the designer’s next move? Having a myriad of curvy sizes featured on contemporary floors. “I’m so heartened that she can go online with Gwynnie Bee and find our stuff, or come to this fantastic pop-up and try stuff on and get to know the brand,” she exclaimed.
