Lookbook: Mango March 2013

The temperatures are slowly but surely warming up here in the Big Apple, thus my mind is gravitating toward Spring buys! Fast-fashion brand Mango has just released its March 2013 lookbook, full of great pieces for the season that won’t break the bank.mango-march-2013-lookbook

The brand has a knack for hitting trends, yet producing highly functional and chic pieces: allowing us all to sport what’s “hot” and to add some seasonal wares to our wardrobe without hitting the splurge button. For Spring, effortless dressing is on the menu with roomy blouses, slouchy high-waist pants, funky printed jackets and mini skirts, easy dresses, and more.

The palette is fairly muted, though shades like cherry red and baby blue add some flair to the designs.

The brand also sets the beauty look for the start of the season with sleek hair and red lips. My natural hair has a hard time staying straight once the temperature and humidity rise, but I’ll probably give this a shot at least once!

I look to Mango for pieces that I can wear year-round, regardless of trends. Spring’s printed button-front blouses, striped skinnies, statement necklaces, and collarless jackets are the styles from the brand that I will be stocking up on in the coming months.
