Hot! or Hmm… : The People’s Choice Awards

Grecian Glam was the theme for last night’s People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. Some of our fave stars came out flaunting a host of flowing, chic styles, but you be the judge… Were they hot! Or do they make you go hmm…?

Taraji P. Henson graced the carpet in a lovely lilac Alberta Ferretti one shoulder floor length gown, accented with a metallic box clutch and subtle jewels.  The dress looks almost regal, but hmm, what’s up with the neck on the throat pose? That’s a new one.  Perhaps she’s showing off a bit of that sponsored red carpet bling…?

Niecy Nash isn’t known for her sartorial choices, so this candy pink Tadashi Shoji stunner was a refreshing surprise. I’m loving everything from her feathered Farah Fawcett-esque ‘do to the way the simple dress skims over her curves and plays up her skin tone. Shimmering silver jewels and a clutch complete a very hot outfit! OK Niecy!

Mary J. went for one shouldered dress as well, but brought a bit of funk with jeweled embellishments and a higher hem. I’ve gotta admit, Mary always looks very sophisticated and svelte. I would’ve chosen a different sandal, yes, but overall the look is hot!

Covergirl Dania Ramirez worked it in a bowed strapless fuchsia gown with what looks like a pair of her favorite shoe brand, Christian Louboutins. While bows can look costumey on some, Dania manages to make the accoutrement seem playful yet chic. Hot!

Hervé Leger continues to haunt red carpets, and this time young actress Camille Winbush fell prey to Leger’s banded skin tight spell. Resort to a Leger when you want to look unremarkable, as Winbush unfortunately does. A pair of slick platform pumps could have saved this outfit, but those strappy white sandals? Hmmm…..

What do you think Bombshells?
