Taylor Swift has been painting the town red lately, especially since premiering her bleach-blonde bob. Spotted while out and about in New York City last night, the pop star channeled her inner 90’s grunge girl in a Louis Vuitton prefall 2016 plaid dress.
Whether or not you’d like to admit it, grunge in fashion is becoming mainstream again, much to Nicolas Ghesquière’s delight. This dress, in particular, features a striking tartan plaid pattern in black, white, and thin lines of red. The hemline, cut on a bias, adds shape to what could’ve been a frock with a dowdy silhouette. And a slight peak at the lining adds a bit more flair to what could be perceived to be an overwhelming pattern.
Sans shiny leather opera gloves and the huge tote as seen on the model, Swift opted for a small box clutch and hiking boots from the house’s fall 2016 collection.
A blood red lip sealed the deal on this relaxed, but hot look from Taylor. The dress isn’t available in stores yet: one of the perks of being a megastar.
