  1. Looks like a blend between Mowry twins and the Govan sisters. Her style is trendy and cute on her. Pretty girl, ok style.

  2. Her style is ok..I think her hair is making he look boring..she needs a cute cut… maybe a short bob a boy cut or something, her face is to full for the long hair..

  3. NO ! She is not doing my state any justice ! I promise you we dress better here in MN. FBD shouldn’t have chose this. She’s not a bombshell, just a basic.

  4. “Trash” is doing the most but we all know that friends don’t let friends filter.

Tameika’s body deserves the ‘gotdamn’ reference. Is she also a gym rat? A lot of her looks are super sporty. The leather-look/wet look fits are the best in my opinion.

  5. Potential Fashion Bombers pls little to NO Fitlers on your photos they distract from the fashion.

  6. VERY TRENDY, NO ORIGINALITY ADDED TO THESE PIECES. SHE LOOKS CUTE AND AVERAGE BUT MOST CERTAINLY NO BOMBSHELL

  7. Thanks for the feature!! The only time I post pics is of my clothing for sale and Instagram selfies!! Sorry if the filters are distracting but thats what IG is all about! ha. I’ll take the good and the bad comments… im just geeked to be featured. And if you’re from MN and you know me.. WHAT UP!!! :D

  8. I think pictures heavily filtered should not be accepted. It is way too distracting. If we have to assess someone’s “fashionbombshell status”, we should be able to see the colors, textures, fabrics, clothes clearly and not altered by those awful filters. But hey who am I, Claire, at the end of the day it’s your blog so you can do whatever you want after all.
Nothing groundbreaking about this woman’s style, Very trendy and popular nowadays.

  9. “Send your name, location, a description of your style, and 6-8 clear, unfiltered, head-to-toe pictures to th************@gm***.com.”

This message is posted under every single bombshell/bomber post.

Claire, if the people who submit their photos cannot be bothered to pay attention or adhere to your requests, why feature them?

  10. BBBOOOOOORRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGG!!! She’s no bombshell. I’d wear crushed leaves and still look better than her. There’s nothing fashion-bombing about her stuff. She’s pretty, her hair is cool… But her heels are wack. Oh and don’t get me started on the filters…

  11. I think she looks great. She has Good style an eye for fashion. She’s representing MN to the fullest. These guys lookin at her pics think she’s fly too!!!

  12. I think she should keep up with the sexy tomboy/athletic aesthetic and just clean it up a bit. It seems like it’ll work as her signature style. I think she looks great but may need to zone out any outside/popular/mainstream influences.

  13. Errrrr..No! some people think throwing a whole bunch of stuff on, that doesn’t match, equates to “fashion”…NEXT!!!–>

  14. The comments about the filters is ANNOYING!! she used her IG pics goodness get over it. As for style she is off to a good start. I would look to ciara, cassie, and tae heckarf as tomboy but cute reference.
Sn your hair and body are AMAZING

  15. Lets get it, Tambamgotdam!! Congratz, you are putting yourself out there and getting the recognition you deserve! Let the haters talk, that’s what they good at! Keep calm she has more for you to say…. Toodles!

  16. In two photos, all she did was take some Prabal Garang Target outfits from the lookbook and wear it. Not a bombshell that maketh.

  17. @Empress her neon heels are from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection but unfortunately they are long sold out.

Her Prabal Gurung for Target dress looks cute on her!

  18. She did not proclaim herself as a BOMBSHELL.. She clearly stated she submitted her pictures for FEEDBACK.. I think her style is fine.. But from one curly head sister to another, curly hair does not work with every look. That’s the advice I would give to you is to try different hairstyles. The yellow dress would’ve looked cute if your hair was in a high bun.

  19. Just want u haters to know that she didn’t buy clothes from target… And She made some of he looks herself. She is very creativ, an has people across the globe buying pieces from herTthrifted Gems collection. U should try being original instead of hating on others. U go TamBam

  20. I need her neon ankle strap sandals! Deets? Cute girl!

^^^^ they look like the ones offered by Prabal Gurung for Target. Bunch on eBay…and on clearance in local Tar-Jays.

I think her style is cute, approachable and on trend.

  21. how that creative when you take from lookbook?
pair it with something else. Step it up.

  22. LMAO!!!! No she did NOT send this mess in expecting “positive” feedback!!! LOL!!!

Honey, is Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, InStyle and even Allure magazines banned in Minnesota??

Gurl…NO. Throw it away and come back again PROPA! Hell, even look at the fashions posted on Fashionbombdaily to get some tips. You look AWFUL. AWWWWWFFFUUULLLLLL!!!

You don’t have to spend a ton of money on your clothes. You’re not ugly. Pretty girl, cute hair, nice body, but your style looks very BUMPKIN. I’m trying to give you a pass cause yeah, you’re from one of the whitest, most vanilla states in the union whose transplants have infiltrated NYC with the ugliest, blandest fashions available and trying to make that mess look “cool”.

    Throw away EVERYTHANG!!! E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-A-N-G!!!

    Man, my eyes hurt now.

  23. I think she was cute!!! Did someone really call her Trash *blank stare* hmm some of yall must know her personally. I always get suspicious when ppl go overboard and reach to throw shade. Anywho girl yay you for evolving. Your style is super cute! Love the use of bright feminine colors.

  24. Interesting that most people are focusing on filters…Newsflash! Our fave fashion mags do just that-lots of smoke & mirrors folks!

She is a beautiful young woman that takes fashion risks-she has made these pieces her own with her mix of girly and sporty. I also love that she embraces her natural hair texture in many of her looks. Her body is FIERCE & she shows just enough to keep it classy. Only criticism-some looks could have been improved with accessories-very minor.

LET THE HATERS HATE! or better yet let’s see some pics…til then…Go Meik!!!

  25. @MsMel, I don’t care about filters, bad lighting or whatever else everyone else complains about. I can still see the CLOTHES and the PERSON wearing them.

I agree that she is pretty, but her fashion choices are awful. She looks like she fell inside a Rainbow and Forever 21 factory and just grabbed whateva and threw it on!

This not “fashion” or “taking risks” and “making something your own”. She CAN do better. She already has the face, hair and body. All she needs is the proper clothes and accessory combo to make it better.

I mean sitting in the library looking at the major fashion magazines won’t kill anyone. They’re even online. This is how myself and many of my friends learned. Instagram is NOT where I would go to learn about REAL fashion and becoming a “bombshell”.

  26. She’s wearing all of the seasons hot trends but there is nothing that sticks out that has her own stamp on it. She’s just blending in with everyone else. Fashion Bomb takes a trend and makes it her own. This is just regular outfits.

  27. I think she is BAD!!! And her style is on point I’m loving the neon colored shoes!!! she wanted feedback ok be cool no need for the name calling come on now y’all BE SERIOUS!!!

  28. Way to go TamBam you represented MN very well and very cute style!! Let the haters hate cause I sure don’t see no pics of y’all up at least she being bold while yal sit behind a blog hating!!!

  29. She looks great to me. I think that you all can voice your opinions on her fashion without calling her trash or ratchet, I mean seriously. Also after the first 50 ppl commented on the filters, was it neccesary for the rest of you to? We get it already, you guys hate filters. So what?

  30. Janice…..killed me with EVERYTHANG…i swear i heard trinidad james voice echoing when i read it out……poor girl her style will improve yall leave her alone lol

  31. Very cute but basic girl. Her outfits that I could see clearly were too matchy. She needs more accessories and more edge. Oh, and her tats were too distracting, along with the horrible filters. No bombshell status… by far!

  32. Cutie! You already know how I feel about your style :) and I’m sure you immediately regret all the filters lol please listen to Claire and send in your unfiltered pics, see what they gotta say then ;)

  33. seen it all before. you can just post one girl and copy and paste different faces on it, something more innovative is needed stat!

  34. Cute girl… Ok fashion sense. I applaud your confidence and continued success with your store. Some of these broads and their comments are totally out of line and unnecessary. We as adult women need to be encouraging, up lifting and supportive of our sisters and offer advice and or constructive criticism if you feel it’s warranted. If not stfu and have several seats.

  35. I think Tameika is a beautiful young lady who has evolved in her fashion. I am from Chicago and live in Minneapolis, MN. This is a very diverse city. Tameika constantly steps outside of the box and takes great risk in her fashion choices. I give her a thumbs up on having the courage to submit herself to something like this. I know online forums can be cruel. I’ve known Tameika for years and she has evolved tremenously. She went from jerseys and t-shirts with sneakers to the above fashion choices. You go girl for being brave and being yourself and chosing fashion choices that make you feel good. I agree with the above comment about hair. I would love to see you in a high bun with blunt bangs, also a angled layered bob would be lovely on you. XoXo -TaMika Jackson

  36. I think this is becoming a reoccuring theme here somebody mentioned in the past and yesterday that Claire should refrain from the negative comments because it sets the tone here and now everybody is on her about her filters. These people are being courageous and uplifting your blog by submitting their pictures to your blog and thank them by being Mean Simon. I don’t get it. This behaviour just encourages internet trolls to go on people thats not necessary. What happens to uplifting one another as black women. So sad. I guess you start being ghetto the rest of the people are gonna be ghetto up in here. We all have choices to make, if you do not want to hear your readers request from refraining from making negative comments. So be it, then that says a lot about you. As black women we are always tearing each other down, please lets uplift one another.

  37. It may be Hot in MN….but thats about it…dont think those looks will go too far anywhere else..#notfeelinit…wait lemme look again….nah

  38. Wow, some of you need to pull that spiked pole out of your arse. lol

I think she’s cute, but the picture quality doesn’t give her just. As she stated, her fashion is evolving and I am all for evolution. Some of the styles are very cute on her, keep evolving girl :)

  39. @friend yes!!! Sad thing is many women on this site are broke because they they to hide their ugly spirits in clothes they have no business buying. I’m bout to take a hiatus from this site…..can’t do all the negativity.

  40. I have seen worst bombshells than her so I’m a bit confused as to why she is recieving a lot of flack…I loved the neon strappy sandals and the look with the white top and leather skirt actually I’m utterly obsessed with that outfit. She’s trendy and has stlye, she is definitely not a bombshell but she is horrible either. I’m starting to think people are hating on her because she’s light skinned with a nice body. Had she been an overweight dark skinned whale the responses would have been different. Oh and the tats are disturbingly ghetto

  41. People have a right to express their opinions. This is a blog, not Sunday school. People are passionate about their fashion and express accordingly. Some people take it too far, but we should have realistic expectations about what this is. I don’t think Claire has said anything inappropriate. I think people generally give credit where they think its due. Ppl generally aren’t malicious.

Regarding this girl, her camera effects are annoying and her fashion is not the most inspiring but she looks better than a lot of the other chicks featured here

  42. The truth is if you can buy it wear it. Nothing earth shattering here. She dresses like everyone else

  43. Some of you all ‘do the most’ with the phony female empowerment horse-and-pony show. Are you attempting to control free speech (sounds like it). Since when is sharing your opinion “ghetto”? Do you know what ‘ghetto’ actually means?

Why are all black women barred from disagreeing/not liking something? Who made up the rule stating we must ‘uplift’ (i.e. lie to) everyone? Does this rule extend to men/other races? Are we all not FREE-thinking, intelligent fashionistas (or are we a monolithic group)? Some of you guys are sheeple–I voted with an honest opinion (pretty girl, ok style)…so sue me.

If you can’t handle the slightest bit of so-called ‘negativity’, you won’t be able to visit 99.9% of blogs out there.

  44. Say that again @jessy!! This is a blog and people are free to state their opinions, whether others view them as good and uplifting or bad and negative. SMH… people kill me these days. To disagree now is considered hating. Cut the bullshat!

  45. Ahhh ok u have a right to be a bitch to people u don’t even know….there is a difference between disliking someone’s attire and being an internet thug. If you don’t get that I feel sorry for you truly.

  46. Nope, I made the comment about filters by seeing the request for “clear, unfiltered etc.” pics every time I scroll down on a bombshell/bomber post. Claire’s comment in today’s post had nothing to do with it whatsoever. I’m not a sheep, thanks. This girl clearly ignored that request and Claire simply reminded her of it (her house, her rules, after all) in a NON ghetto way. She did also compliment Tameika.

  47. Pretty girl, BUT i am so tired of these same looks! Everyone looks the same. Nothin original

  48. ugk her friends/fans …. are so annoying …. Just because people do not agree with her selection choice does not make them HATERS!!! She is a cute girl and all her outfits appear extremely affordable, very basic, yet trendy… THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HATE ON. In the end, her selections are not my cup of tea. But Tamieka do you boo.

  49. The words “haters” and “hating” tend to be used by people who refuse to see “Truth”. Instead of taking some of the comments as “constructive criticism”, they’re taking it as a personal affront. Basically, you want people to lie to you and tell you what you want to hear rather than what they really see.

Well, that’s what facebook, tumbler and instagram is for – people to LIE to you. There are no “negative” comments. Yeah, some people are trippin’ over the filters, but in general no one has said anything about her physical person. She’s cute, so that’s 60% of the battle won right there. It’s just getting her FASHION CHOICES together.

  50. @Kristen

I totally agree. People are entitled to have an opinion; it’s a matter of taste. I don’t see anything wrong with constructive criticism and being honest with your comments and dislikes.

But it’s the need to be cruel, condescending, and catty that I don’t quite understand.

But hey, life can be a bitch sometimes…and apparently so can people.

  51. She’s a pretty girl… average style…

Bombshell? Not really but nothing that makes me want to go all Joan Collins and hit her with a wire hanger either.

    *shrugs*

  52. why the filters? I like the style but I think her hair and makeup are very boring. she should get an edgy cut
