Ending this week is Bombshell Sherane from Atlanta:

She writes, “I consider my style to be pretty eclectic.”

” My outer appearance usually reflects how I’m feeling internally.”

” When I’m in a great mood-I may illustrate it through bright colors.”

“… and if I woke up on the wrong side of the bed- I may wear a plain outfit & spice it up with a funky vintage pillbox hat.”

” Fashion is supposed to be fun and I want my style to remain playful.”

” Growing up I was never the person to drool over fashion mags or follow fashion week.”

” I simply started thrifting and wearing vintage to express myself through fashion for an affordable price.”

” Adding vintage pieces to your wardrobe brings more personality because there is usually a story behind every piece.”

” Even the slight imperfections illustrate more character to your entire look.”

You’re gorgeous! I can definitely see the vintage influences. See more at SheranesCloset.com and follow her on Instagram at @SheranesCloset.

  1. She lives to her description, she owns her funky quirky style, and she looks great in it. Not my taste but a fashion bombshell nonetheless, she rocks what she likes and she wears it well. Is there room for improvement (ie tailoring)? Sure. But it does not take away from the core of her fashion sense. She’s owning this. Now this is unique.

  2. She’s fabulous and marches to the beat of her own drum. I applaud individuality. The essence of a true bombshell!

  3. I just checked out her website…beautiful spirit!!! That’s why I love FBD…You guys always put me on to things I would have never found before.

  4. She is just beautiful. I know she said she was never one to read fashion magazines but I think she should and she should check out some other bloggers for tips on how to take some of the interesting pieces she has and make cohesive looks.

  5. Beautiful girl!!! I love her dimples!! and I love her for having her own style.. I think she’s owning it !

  6. she looks like an older lady that can fit her daughter’s clothes…i can see where she is trying to go, but she never did make it…nice try tho

  7. her style is off but she’s pretty so therefore she gets a pass from me. she’s got crazy in her eyes….i’d still mash though!

  8. Before I commented, I checked out her blog and she seems to be a beautiful person in/out. I see what she is trying to dowith the vintage/thrifted pieces but sadly, these looks are all over the place. IMO the look with the blue pants is the best (a belt would’ve pulled that one together flawlessly) the others are just well… *deep sigh*

  9. Very pretty girl! Not my forte’ but love that she found a style that works for her and she owns it. I think some tailoring would be good but she still worked it!

  10. I know Sherane and she’s a beautiful person inside and out. So glad to see her on FBD! I buy so many vintage items from her.

  11. She is gorgeous with those big eyes and dimples. I liked the outfit with the blue pants but agree the a belt at the waist would have completed the look. Everything else I’m not so sure

  12. She’s a bombshell!! Bombshells are confident and remain true to their personal style. It’s obvious she’s dressing to her own beat and not what the fashion god’s say are hit or miss. Her style is fun, playful, quirky, and daring. Her fashion is obviously from within, which makes it fashion in it’s own right!!!

  13. Beautiful girl but she should really invest in a tailor because her vintage pieces are a bit to big for her and it makes her outfits look sloppy. On a brighter note, she’s super adorable!

  14. I’d definitely describe her style as foolish with a touch of trying too hard. I wanted to like it cause she looks sweet but I didn’t see any positives…fit, color/fabric/print mixing, structure, silhouette all of it was bad.

  15. The clothes need tailoring. A few hits and more misses. She is a lovely girl though, live he courage to march to her own damn music.I do think that with time she will get better.

  16. Constructive criticism: I love vintage as well but she needs to invest in a good tailor so those blazers/blouses will be more figure flattering. Also, I know the mixing of patterns is hot now but the stripe and floral were a bit jarring to the eye. Try more subtle mixing.

  17. You’re a beautiful bombshell! Your looks are definitely you and scream personality. I like it!

  18. I know she is going for vintage but her pieces just look outdated. She is beautiful though – love her smile and dimples

  19. Peeped her website.. Loves it..Indeed saved women rule!! I need to be as dedicated as you! xoxo

  20. Wow! I love her style… no surprise I’m one of the very few. Her personality is reflected in her use of prints. It all seems bright and bubbly to me. I will admit she does have that same facial expression in almost every pic, but I still identify with the way she dresses. These are the kinds of outfits I love to see.

  21. This website has gone so far from fashion..Kim K is given publicity day in and day out. Her claim to fame is scandal….

Every day black women who decide to make themselves happy via their fashion, makeup and hair while gaining an education, working full time jobs, launching businesses and supporting their families are criticized to the utmost.

People, Please wakeup. Claire STOP KIM K and the likes of such people…Yep having standards mean you separate yourself from the LOWLIFE and she qualifies as a LOWLIFE

  22. To the child named “CLAIRE~ Stop promoting KK” she’s not supporting anyone by posting stuff on them. This is a fashion blog you dumb fu*k, Claire and her crew deliver us fashion news. Trust that celebs, including Kim, are apart of that. If you don’t want to know whats hot in the industry then maybe fashion blogs aren’t for you. People like you are beyond annoying.

  23. Her beautiful spirit shines through her not so beautiful looks and for that she gets a pass from me! go girl! #teamprettygirlprettyspirit

  24. She is definitely gorgeous. She has a beautiful face and her hair is flawless. Like someone stated early on, her clothes are really just too big for her and some of the pieces don’t go well together.

  25. Most of her looks were a no for me. But she’s very pretty and has potential. There were like two looks maybe that i kind of liked.

  26. I always question photos that look like they’re taken just for the FBD submission. All boots? The handbags? It put me off but I think her overall look (hair, smile) were great. The fashion was just dusty.

  27. She has a lot of nice vintage pieces… Her photos could have been better showing the whole outfit shoes included, sometimes shoes bring the outfit together.. Very nice nonetheless

  28. Its sad sad that when I saw Bombshell and Atlanta in the same title I knew it wasn’t going to be a hit. She’s cute though…..
