We headed to sunny California for today’s Bombshell! Check out Shanise from LA:

She writes, “I’ve been following and reading your blog for a while now and I’ve built up enough courage to finally submit some pictures.”

I don’t know how to pin point a definitive style for myself, but one thing I do know is that I love playing with vibrant colors & I love blazers!”

“I enjoy fashion as a hobby.”

“A hobby I’m very consumed by daily, looking at different personal styles, finding ways to stretch a buck, and playing with pieces that I can wear several ways.”

” I blog for fun at www.snazzysavvyshanise.com.”

” I hope you like what I have to share and I hope to be featured.”

I love a good blazer, too! I think your description was spot on–can’t wait to check out your blog.

  1. For the most part she has a good foundation but I wish she would’ve given us more. I need more “umph.” Her looks just didn’t sing.

  2. Eh. Not bad but something was missing if you want to consider her a bombshell. Looks were cute but didn’t have me wanting to see more. I liked the look with the blue blazer; however its really safe and is not edgy at all. However, she’s very pretty and has style.

  3. Someone mentioned that she needs to be more edgy, edgy is not for everybody, but I do love both pairs of high waist pants. I would love to get my hands on both. I voted bombshell. Just needs better shoe choices….

  4. Grab a tailor. The right fit can make or break an outfit. Great foundation, loved the bold colors!

  5. I never comment in this section but I could not resist….camel toe?!!! Really?!! Please stop!!

  6. Would love to know where she got the high-waisted trousers in the first shot. As a fellow lady which full thighs I find it difficult to find a pair that fit.

  7. Some of these Bombshell submission are laughable. Reminds me of the first audition of American Idiol. Honey, I give fashion tips on my site, many of your need to come on by. #JustSayin

  8. A matter of fact, Shanice, here let me help you out. The rust flair pant and red shirt. The pants are ill fitting. i am not feeling the gold belt another belt would have worked better. The yellow pant looks like spring, while the black and white appeared like it should be in a cooler climate. Although, I see where you were trying to go. A statement neck piece that incorporated the yellow and black and white would have pulled it together, or maybe a handbag. Oh sis!! The hound tooth legging ,sheash!! The proportions and silhouette is ALL WRONG. An oversize shirt that had a geometric shaped would have worked better. Or maybe just close the jacket if you could have. The “red short” look works but its typical nothing “Fashion Bomb” about it. The palazzo pant look is SO OUTDATED. IN CASE YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT PALAZZO PANTS ARE. There the big ugly printed pant she is wearing. Sister girl are you kdding me with the beat up “Chucks” and the church blazer? **sigh** I am not mad sis, people like you keep me in business. But of course, the ones who realize that they are a fashion disaster. One more thing that would have helped tremedously, SMILE or at least pretend like you want to be here!!!

  9. Cute style, nice hair and a pretty girl for SURE but with no smile I felt like she didn’t want to take the photos.

  10. We got some fit problems, but everything still looks pretty good just doesn’t really give me the freshness (for lack of a better word) I associate with bombshells.

  11. She’s defiantely elegant, but none of the looks are particularly inspiring- I also feel her looks are a little under acessorized….

  12. The red shorts are a terrible mistake. They make her hips look boxy and give her camel toe. The tan pants are ill fitting across the hips and crotch, and the wide legged pants have too much flair for her height and the shoes she opted to wear with them are much too small for her feet. She’s a pretty girl, but she needs to work on cut and fit. I hope this helps.

  13. @thefashionistachic is that you in the videos on your blog? You’re the last person to be giving fashion and beauty advice.

  14. HAHAHA @ Jenna!
Jenna, I read your comment so I had to see for myself and you are absolutely right. Ugh. It just goes to show you can’t take these comments too seriously because the people with all of the criticisms and advice look raggedy as hell.
    Sheesh.

  15. First off thank you Claire for featuring me today. Second, thank you ladies for the constructive criticism and compliments. But I have to say I love my palazzo pants! My brown high waist pants are from H&M & my palazzo pants are from target to the two ladies that inquired about them!

  16. Not feeling the fit of any of her high waisted pants and shorts :( high waisted is NOT for everyone, or maybe she just needs a good tailor like LMO suggested…

  17. @thefashionitachic- I seriously doubt you have much “business” (if any) if that’s the approach you use to encourage your clients, Smh. June Ambrose is an amazing example of positivity and good energy while creating change- take note. All that “y’all keep me in business” crap can go. Your typing is about as bad as your speaking in those videos on your site–> work on it.

To the bombshell, I have those pants from Target and girl, I get CRAZY compliments every time, lol. I love those darn things, their super comfy and crazy chic! I usually don’t rock a heel due to my height and the width of the pant. The flowy wide leg looks better sweeping across the floor rather than hanging out 2-3in in the air, which I think is what happened to you. Your looks are O.K. In my raw opinion, final editing is what you need work on. Proper fit, quality “looking” pieces, polishing hair and makeup. Pretty lady, but you know we go hard in the paint around here, lol. Kudos for submitting!

  18. fashionshitachic-please.

I think that some of the issues I personally have with the clothes were addressed by Nicole, but overall, she is DEFINITELY not a disaster. Some hits, some misses. But she’s definitely one of the prettiest bombshells, for sure!

  19. I like the high-waist trousers in the first photograph. Those Chuck Taylors have had their time. I would’ve opt for a chic ballet flat or loafer with the hot pink body con/black & white colorblock blazer duo.

  20. @fashionistchic…… Let me say this, the ugliest thing I saw on this entire post was the link that led to your blog where I saw a video of you speaking! (and I mean that in the SHADIEST way possible). You have no room to be trying to go in on ANYONE….your style is not up to par nor is that messy ass blog….*side eye*. By the way you tried to go at this chick for her outfits, breakin’ each one down the way you did and summarizing her overall style to be a hot ass mess lets me know you don’t know much about fashion. Sure there is a room for improvement as some of her fits were off however her style is not bad and very far from what you put it to be…..You my dear look like a damn hater with no fashion knowledge whatsoever. Next time use some of those “tips” for yourself.

  21. LMAO @ Camilla: “…and I mean that in the SHADIEST way possible”!
And now my Tuscan chicken sandwich is all over my desk and keyboard :-/

Very pretty lady, love the color combo in the first pic, and the palazzo pants in another pic. The fit of some of her pieces is off, but we all have things we could work on when it comes to our personal style.

  22. @fashionistchic next time please spare us the long a$$ paragraph of amateur fashion advice. Uuuugh… u seriously just irritated me to the upmost. Anyways… Shanice you look great boo! Very classy…clean and polished looks. Oh and I forgot to mention…you are GOREGOUS!!! Keep doing what you’re doing love! :)

  23. Not really a fan of her style but she’s so beautiful it’s hard to criticize. She kind of reminds me of Savannah Brinson — gorgeous and almost complete…but not quite. I’m starting to notice that I mentally deduct points for girls who don’t wear makeup. I just do not prefer bare faces beautiful as they may be.

  24. And also no I’m not related to Lauren London or any other celebs.
    ;)
I play with make- up just a little J Danielle, I’m breaking out of my shell.
