  1. i’m allllllllllllll about the black ensemble. the shiz is d-hard. okay Miz honey?!

    love the pose perched in the backyard. ‘very’ En Vogue circa ‘Hold On To Your Love’!

    rocking the shorts as well as the purple Hammer-esque pants. you amazingly pulled that off. lol

    love the evening single-sleeved taupe dress. that one of my favorite colors for my brown-skinned body.

    the legs are fantastic! great to see a tall woman owning every. single. inch of herself. *2 snaps & a twirl*

    GWTWF! ;-D

  2. Style is kind of blah. Nothing really caught my eye. I think the quality of her pieces is what threw me off. And I’m not saying that it has to be cashmere/silk but polyester isn’t a girls best friend.

  3. LOL at the black dress POSE w the old lawn chairs.. i hate when bloggers get to posey like models

  4. Bombshell. Why? She owns it. I love the hair, the poses (we may not be models but that doesn’t mean we can’t be fierce with it, I giggled at the pose outside with the patio furniture but in a good way, gave me a smile), and although the style does not blow me out of the water, I can appreciate it.

    More so, I love her comments of ownership and even vulnerability.

    Get it girl.

  5. claire can u start to post just the pics? seems like people always get caught up in whether they have a good philosophy and im like i thought this was a fashion blog… we can all write flowery language but if the fashion part is missing… then what are we judging? ESSAYS? LOL

  6. Loved the last pic with the purple pants most and the red shorts were good too. The belt used in the first pic needs to be used carefully (it was cinched too tight for her back in the first “all black everything” pic). Tall and plus size? Good on you for keeping it fashionable, Shainna.

  7. Love every picture, pose and outfit! Totally exudes confidence in herself, and unique personal style. I think Shainna is inspirational for all size women. Her beauty come from within and completely radiates!

    WERRRRKKKKKKKKKKK

  8. I like it, very energetic and lively. My favorite looks are the black dress (love the pose) and the outfit with the red shorts. I’m not a fan of harem pants, but she pulled them off.

  9. Thank you for coming through for the plus size folks… After last weeks nonsense. This is example of plus size done gracefully

  10. Big meh…sorry.
    Is it me or we have not been blessed to see a real fashion bombshell posted for a while? This last month has been really boring.

  11. @ Soul Touch

    we may not be models but that doesn’t mean we can’t be fierce with it

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    talk from that pulpit, chil’! lol ;-D
  12. the last pic with the purple pants is a good look. each piece, from the pattern top to the neutral/pastel palette, to the oversized clutch are on point for what’s hot right now. some hits/some misses but in each look she did manage to piece it all together so that it made sense.
  13. Cheap and un original. I think everyone is trying to give her brownie points because she is a special class *coughs* plus sized. LOL Unfortunately I am NOT politically correct when it comes to ones’ fashion choises and lifestyle so I will definitely be honest.. It was bad Michael Jackson BAD.
  14. @aliana what the heck are you talking about?
    @sleekchic you are absolutely right lol.
    Fashion is not secluded to the RICH. Fashion is being stylish whether you are middle class, low class, or high class. Fashion can be taking a $20 skirt and making everyone envious. Now that I got that out of the way, I think today’s fashionbomb is fashionable. Her style isn’t mine, but she looks good. A lot of big girls don’t even care about what they wear because they feel no one will find them attractive anyways. I commend full figured women with confidence.
  15. It’s hard for those legs in shorts and dresses not to get bombshell status. If I saw her walking down the street, I’d think bombshell.
  16. @ peace so just because she’s plus size everyone’s giving her good comments??
    If someone’s on point with their style or not then I will say so no matter their body type & I think that speaks for others too. Let’s all stop the bull of always mentioning 1s size (& I happen to be a skinny petite young women). I think her style is cute w/some hits & misses & her attitude is bombshell!
  17. The pose in THAT photo is everything! I hope notes are being taken.
    I think she does a good job of wearing what works for her, and she exudes a confidence many girls that may be wearing “labels” often don’t. The girl is making these clothes work, like it or not!
    Like the purple the purple pant and all black ensemble :)
  18. Thanks everyone for the love. Even those of you who nit pick about what I wrote, and complained that I pose to much (like what else am I suppose to do in front of the camera lol)
    To the young woman that said my outfits were cheap and unoriginal…when you have a successful blog, and put yourself on a platform like this, then and only then will attempt to care about what you said. You may now go back under your bridge troll.
    But on a lighter note, I’m glad that you all showed me some love. It was a nice surprise to see my pic on my timeline and seeing that it was posted by Claire! #excitedfan lol
    xoxo
    Shainna
  19. LMMFAOHAAAARRRRD!!!
    *2 snaps, a twirl then a somersault, beechez*
    get some! Shainna, you’re a fugging ROCK STAR! tee-hee ;-D
  20. This girl is gorgeous! she should model. Like the black outfits, the pose on the backyard is everything
    xx
  21. I’m sorry but I just can’t get into these “I bought everything from ASOS and forever 21” looks. I can’t remember the last time I just saw chic simplicity on this site. Also the posing? Stop that.
  22. Omg just saw her comment. She seems rather young so I might let it slide but I have she grows up to be a bit more gracious and take criticism (yes even negative!) in stride.
  23. Love her in every way imaginable! She’s stylish, confident and edgy…what more can you ask for?
  24. @lex i am talking about how on alot of the comments not just this one people are like well the style is off but i love what she stands for or that shes confident and i think thats silly. we are judging either good fashion or bad fashion who cares what they wrote, we can all make up a “good philosophy”
  25. lol I was wait for the fat comment. @Schmorty…please find a corner and sit.
    @Cinple I take criticism just fine. However criticism works only if you’re talk about the topic at hand. Which in this case is fashion, fussing about what I wrote and how I pose is pointless. And yes I will respond to someone who feels the need to call me cheap and unoriginal.
    Again thanks for the loves guys!
    xoxo
    Shay
  26. @Cinple you will also do well to know that only 1 outfit has a piece from Forever 21 and only outfit is from Asos…I implore you to actually look at my blog and you will see I shop many different places.
  27. Some of you will never cease to amaze me with your childish comments. She is lovely and no, not every ensemble was hitting out the ballpark, but she owned it. Fashion isn’t a set of rules and regulations that a bunch of faceless fashion “police” can call out and give citations for. It’s a fluid, ever-moving pot of everything you want it to be. I simply loved her style, she’s got a new follower!
  28. The pose in the black dress is fiyaaaaah!!! I copied the pic so i can practice!!
    Love the representation of plus sized and dread-head girl! Keep it up!
