Allow me to introduce you to today’s Bombshell, Sable from New York.

She didn’t have much to say in terms of a style description.

20120926-191440.jpg
She only wrote, “[My style is] sophisticated.”

20120926-191532.jpg
“Meets Glam!”

  1. The more I visit the Bombshell of the day the more I realize that people are just clueless when it comes to style.

  2. Hmmmm…I don’t know about this one. That peplum top and *ahem* leather skirt combo—honey, it looks like you ’bout to bust all out of that one!! I like the idea of your outfits, but the execution-shrugs.

  3. Such a cute smile! Okay, well…not really a fan of a lot of the looks but I do like the last look…Queen of the Nile I’ll fondly call it…the neckline (is that a necklace) matched with the head piece, bracelet and shoes.

I do like the jacket it the first look but the shoes (Tims) and clutch are throwing me off.

  4. No thanks. Was that a Queen of the Nile Halloween costume? The boots with the “leather” skirt and blazer was really throwing me off.

  5. I’m convinced that most of these people don’t scroll down and look at the poll or read the comments of previous “bombshells” before they send in their own pics.

  6. Peplum, patent and color blocking…all in one outfit. I got whiplash.

It’s nice to mix trends but easy to go overboard. So while that one was too much, the first outfit is *really* great on her figure, suits her personality all while taking advantage of the current fixation with brocade.

Last note would be keeping the undergarments/shapewear from showing: that couldn’t have been purposeful, Sable. Keep doing you!

  7. Seems as if she’s heading in the right direction but the execution of it all doesn’t seem right. Sometimes when people want to stand out & not be too cookie cuter, the end result looks costumy and forced. I like the look of the lace dress, but not so much everything else.

  8. outfits one, three and five are okay..but I’m not a huge fan of the color blocking peplum and the printed dress with the pink shoes. she seems confident though!

  9. I really like the printed jacket and leather skirt outfit, but I hate the boots she chose with it. I think black booties or heels would have really showcased it better. The pink dress is really adorable. The blue maxi is great, but the accessories make it look like a costume. I voted pretty girl; ok style.

  10. SABLE TO THE STABLES lol thats mean!!!!! the last looks is VERY COSTUME. im gonna say no for the spanx we see in the animal print dress. AGAIN WERE PUUUUUNK’D

  11. Her style fits her personality. For the printed dress, that was shorts not spanx. We were together that night.

  12. I liked some of the outfits… I think its the photo quality and her postures that ruins it… Especially the pink lace dress with the snake skin shoes. That look was actually very different and well put together, but the picture sucks. I like your style Sable! I see where you are going with most of the looks! =)

  13. Again, this BS has some cute individual pieces, but throws off the entire look with a poor choice of shoes, and/or accessories, or an ill-fitting item. I’m not trying to be mean at all. I really like some of the pieces, I just think that the execution of the pieces are a little off.

Thanks for sharing your style with us Sable.

  14. All I want for Christmas is…….for everyone to stop with these “I want to be a model” poses…..these looks ain’t for everyone ladies. That smilizing mees will have you looking crazy if you can’t pull it off! Not nuts about all the outfits but she seems to have her own style.

  15. ^^ Lol I’m surprised at the comments as I thought you guys would be supportive because all plus sized submissions are usually voted bombshell whether they look good or not..

  16. Her pink dress is cute.
Her style isn’t bad, and I’m surprised she received so many negative votes.

  17. My constructive criticism: Some of the cuts on these outfits are not too flattering. Sable should try to look for pieces that will give her more of a flattering waistline. JMO

  18. Fashion is very subjective but this is not fashion. It has an element of dress up. That vinyl skirt is hideous. The blue maxi is fine but the head gear and the collar is too Cleopatra for my liking.

  19. wow, some people are so mean. To me, she mostly missed in the shoe department, not that the shoes are not cute, but they dont pair well with her outfits. Besides that, I would vote her an ok.
    Blessings

  20. who ever said “Sable needs to go back to the stable” is dead wrong you are a fool for that, her looks were average ya’ll are mean lol!

  21. It’s quite a disappointment to read so many disparaging comments about this sista who obviously felt good about herself and her style to share it with the legions of Fashion Bomb Daily fans. Sable is repping for the plus-size and has definitely illustrated that there are options for the full-figured women. Even if her taste is completely different from my own, I applaud her for attempting to be bold, beautiful, and unique.

  22. Why the mean comments, I just dont get it, there is a better way to voice opinions smh.. All this does is discourage people from even submitting in the first place. Stop being mean, its not cute.

I may not totally like her style, but dont tear the girl down at least she tried.

  23. wat da hell was that….no , just no….goodness she has a beautiful shape , so i was expecting someting that embraced it and not someting that just covered it…wat da fucc was that she was wearing…sweetie EMBRACE YOUR CURVES IN THE RIGHT WAY. you can do it!!!!

  24. The only outfit I like is the first one sans the shoes, and the third one. She’s a really cute girl with lots of potential.

  25. She has that Cleopatra necklace on in almost every picture, issue number one, two and three. The pink dress is ok, not with animal print shoes in my opinion because then your ODing on print. The blue maxi dress with the acessories looks like a costume. The peplum outfit is too small. The split skirt is ok too, not with those shoes though. I can see you are going for the New York eclectic look but missing the mark a little bit.

  26. No! Do people not own mirrors? Girl you need some new female friends cause they ain’t letting you know that your hair #fail and you need a new shoe game. PlanetFitness $19.99 a month no excuse.

  27. “Sophisticated” is NOT a word I’d use. she looks like she made that beige dress with the black belt out of a bad african table cloth.

i urge her to try again

  28. Everyone is a critic y dont you guys stop “waiting until next month” for a “better” bombshell and send in your own pics. The negativity on here is disgusting it just shows a ugly and judgemental ppl are on the inside. That being said real cute girl love your confidence and keep doing u sable…smh @ these boogie ass FBD readers

  29. Everyone is a critic, instead of “waiting until next month” for a ‘better” bombshell why dont you send your own pics to be criticed. Seriously the comments that I’ve seen lately on bombshell are just aweful and show how ugly ppl are inside. That being said i think she’s a cute girl, real unique keep doing you Sable…smh @ these boogie ass FBD readers

  30. The blue dress outfit: everything was flawless except I would have changed the nail color. Grade A

The print blazer look: wrong shoes for this outfit and the wallet/clutch doesnt work here. Not a fan of the floppy bun. I would have added on a chunky bracelet too. Grade B+

Pink dress: switch those shoes with the ones in the animal print dress and vice versa for that outfit. Also, I cant tell but makeup with this outfit would be nice. Grade: A-

Animal print dress: change the shoes to the ones from the pink dress. Grade B

Peplum and vinyl outfit: no to the skirt..hated it! the top is a little small. Grade C-

Overall Grade B: I think you have a good eye but you need to fine tune your shoes, accessories and makeup.

  31. These comments, ya’ll are leaving are just wrong… She had the right idea, but over thinks her outfits. Sable you shouldn’t try so hard fashion, fashion should come effortlessly and natural. She doesn’t look comfortable in her own skin. Also, just because it name brand doesn’t mean it’s on point. Remember less is more…
