We’re continuing the Bombshell blitz with Robyn from Detroit, Michigan:

She says, “Recently moved to Chicago at the beginning of Summer, but my style is D-Girl Fresh :).

“I’m a curvy girl so I like to wear anything that looks cute, not too revealing, sexy, with a touch of swag.”

” I mix and match pieces a lot. Rarely do I wear “outfits” or things that are intentionally supposed to go together.”

“If I had to choose a brand I like best, it would be BCBG. I shop there the most. Everything there is classic and can be work time after time in different ways. I love it!”

“.. I also shop at Forever 21 (regular and Plus sizes), H&M, or wherever I see something that stands out to me.”

Alright! You better work it, curvy girl. My favorite might be your all white look. You’re giving me ideas on what to wear to an all white party I have coming up.
What do you think of Robyn?

  1. Gorgeous looks, Robyn!! That purple jumpsuit is everything! You betta rep the D, girl!!!

  2. Cute girl, although I am not sure about her BCBG comment. BCBG doesn’t go up to a size 18. But I truly appreciate her confidence. She could work on buying clothes that fit. There are multiple plus size retailers that can accommodate her size and style. Overall she’s cute, but a bit delusional about her size.

  3. I love a curvy bombshell. My favs are three first and the last. KILLING IT 4 CURVY GALS

  4. It depends on the clothing. A lot of straight sizes can work for plus size women. You just have to try it on and see how it fits. I’m considered a 16-18, but I can buy plenty of things from H&M in a large or medium and it fits great.

  5. I think Robyn is very pretty and I see the concept that she was going for. One thing that stops her from being a bombshell imo is fit.

  6. Like all the outfits except the purple one but Imo the fit of that black skirt is too tight but I really like that outfit. Her style is pretty and wearable very cute.

  7. No. No. & No. Pretty girl. Clothes are way too tight! Not flattering at all. O yea, and we clearly know what her fav necklace looks like. I will say that that black skirt is Love! But that brown belt…not so much. Cute girl, No bombshell. Im going to need for people to submit some quality photos too!

  8. I like her style, and I think that the fit is fine. And I did give a little side eye at BCBG because I feel like their clothes run small. But the thing about curvy girls is that a lot of the times, we are in between sizes and there are bits and pieces from very different size brackets that fit us, so i think shes the bomb!
    Blessings

  9. I think she looks adorable and although her looks are not super exciting, they are realistically wearable. Her confidence is beaming.

  10. Cute girl but her looks are not my taste. Some of the outfits imo aren’t flattering(the first and last one) and the others although not bad they aren’t bombshell worthy.

  11. Would love to know if she has a fashion blog of her own..if so please let us know……really loving the style

  12. Love it all Except the all white. The belly should not peek out from under your shirt unless it’s flat.

  13. Some of these comments are so outrageous it makes me want to laugh. Her clothes are tight!? Her clothes fits her fine and shows off her lovely curves. She mixes pieces that would not normally go together and makes them fashionable (e.g the jean vest and white lacy skirt) and makes it work stylishly for her body type. That is what makes her a bombshell! Everyone else who thinks otherwise can kick rocks with open toes shoes on.
P.S:That purple jumpsuit is Gorg! I need to know where she got it from.

  14. @ thefashionistachic who said she was a sz 18…she actually looks like a 14/16…im a 16 and i have quite a few BCBG items in my closet…how u go throw shade then throw a compliment

  15. She’s very pretty and I love here style..bombshell! for rearl…Rep for the D girl..

  16. love love love the faded sleeveless jean top and white skirt. shes a bombshell for sure!

  17. “Diva” don’t throw shade of this beautiful girls sunshine.

She looks adorable, stylish yet simple. I love how she looks everyday, now that’s a bombshell.

  18. some of you are so ignorant. curvy refers to womanly curves, which she has..so what point are you making Diva?

anyhow, she looks great and i think they all fit well except maybe the white crop top.

    overall nice looks. bombshell

  19. very pretty girl, maybe she should look into plus size modelling? i agree with fit being an issue.

  20. While I agree she is a very pretty girl and yes she is curvy, she does not dress her body as well as she could. Love that you take risks that most women your size wouldn’t. Love that you are confident! The white outfit though! It’s just too tight. Please don’t think that it’s because of your size! Plenty of women make that mistake, see Kim K and Emily B! I actually like ur style I just think the fit could be a little better!

  21. The world will never agree what qualifies as “plus size” or “curvy” its all so subjective. Its the whole reason why a body like Kim K’s or this young lady’s can both be described as curvy.

Anywho on to the fashions! You look KILLER in the blue dress. The folding around the lower knee/thigh area of the white jeans tells me a size up wouldn’t hurt a bit, and the lace skirt/denim vest combo just gave me an outfit idea. Thank ya kindly!

  22. love it! maybe somethings wrong with me but I really didnt see fit as an issue…of course there’s a double standard with curvy/plus size women who aren’t afraid to show skin but I thought she looked great. Didn’t love the purple outfit though.

  23. I absolutely love her style, definitely a fashion bombshell, such an inspiration!!! Her attitude is great, work!!!!!

  24. Hey,

Thanks all for comments, they are much appreciated. I LOVE the skin I’m in, which is key! I wear what I LIKE, not what others think I look good in. Follow me on instagram (RockyRobyn) or Twitter: rocky_robyn. Enjoy!

  25. Definition of bra/brä/

    1. An undergarment worn by women to support the breasts.

  26. It seems like most of the plus size fb are praised when it comes to their style/fit/overall appearance, but when it’s a fit/in shape/non-plus sized fb it’s a different story.

Pretty girl, waaaay to tight clothes, not inspiring.

Examples of inspiring: Atlantic-Pacific, Song of Style, and Style Pantry

  27. Even though I think she needs a bra, I still voted bombshell. She is a pretty lady :-)

  28. Hey,

Thanks for the comments, good and bad, I appreciate them all! I wear clothes that I am confident and comfortable in! If I wore clothes that other people thought I should wear, I’d second guess every time. Yes, I wear a lot of clothes from BCBG, mainly tops and dresses that run S, M, L. I also wear clothes from Forever 21 (regular and Plus), H&M, or wherever I see clothes that I like on me, I don’t discriminate. Regardless of the brand or place my clothes from, the most important thing is, I feel good in the clothes I wear. Enjoy.

  29. I only saw a fit issue on one, maybe two of the outfits posted.

Go ahead girl. You are gorgeous and your style is fab. You wore each look with confidence.

  30. First, I would like to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE your style. It’s not over the top crazy, nor it boring. It is that right amount of sexy, casual, and fun. The only look I do not care for is the bandaged blue dress, and that is only because I’ve seen it SOOOO many times before. But I would definitely rock all of the other looks! And gawd yes, that hair is gorgeous!!! (would love to get the deets on it, lol), and your shoe game is on point as well.

Last but not least, your confidence shows through your smile and your clothes…and that makes you a FashionBombshell in my book!

  31. She’s too adorable i love her style & i love her curves. If you have nothing nice to say, say it don’t type it. It shows a whole lot about how you feel about yourself. She’s great!

  32. She’s pretty; good for her. Clothes werk too. But I think there’s a fundamental misunderstanding about “curvy” v. something else. “Curvy”- Kim K, Bey, J Lo, even Mariah Carey. There’s a level of tone involved, it’s not simply plus-sized. And what I don’t understand, and wish would stop, is our lovely “plus-sized” bombshells drawing attention to their size. You look great! There’s no need to qualify your size. The petite girls don’t do it. And it never fails, when someone on here says “curvy,” it’s rarely accurate, and then we get distracted from the beautiful fashions.

  33. Oh em ghee she is reppin for us curvy ladies! I love her! Wish she had a blog. Very pretty girl…I have to say the outfit with the white skirt and jean is my fave…totally inspired. Get it!

    Tiff

  34. I like the clothing but some of it is not fitting well cause she needs to lose a little weight. The clothes are great and the girl is very pretty! She just needs to get clothing that fits a little better or lose a little weight

  35. Some hits some misses. I did notice the fit issue as well. However, I do believe she has a great sense of style.

And lets all agree to disagree on this “curvy” debate. Hell, Ive heard people call Eva Longoria “curvy” so CLEARLY its one of those words that subjective.

  36. Misery loves company on some if these comments…Confidence and love within yourself is evident in your pics

  37. LOVE the style. Fit is perfect. Hair styled right. Make-up on point. You don’t need a bra and clearly this is not a fitness blog so weight is not the issue. It should be a new rule to post a pic of yourself when posting negative comments that lack constructive buffering. What YOU lookin like o_O

  38. One word salacious( thats RIGHT )is it. Style unique and confident bout self.if i didnt no better she wears her confidence well and bomb shell is an under statement. I did the off white skirt. I dnt know if u hve enuff votes but my vote count for 20,000 u feel me and MEOWWWWWWW

  39. MEOOOOOW U GO GURL BEST WORD DESCRIBE U….” SALACIOUS” U FEEL ME. CRACK THEIR HEADS ON BOMB shell

  40. I WANT TO THANK ALL U HATERS THAT POST NEGATIVE. I THINK ITS NICE AND I KNOW SHE APPRECIATE IT.IF I HAD ONE WORD TO BEST DESCRIBE YOU ALL…”AWESOME ” TWO DEGREE NEW JOB MOTIVATED INSPIRATION LADY SWAG. CONFIDENCE STRONG HEADED BLISSFUL INNOVATIVE IN STYLE JAZZY INTELLIGENCE. STILL PREVAILING SO ALL I WOULD SAY IS THIS….”MEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  41. nigerianBOOM — no one is throwing shade, The world will never agree what qualifies as “plus size” or “curvy” its all so subjective. Its the whole reason why a body like Kim K’s or this young lady’s can both be described as curvy–Lawyerchic
Pinky—- my point is she is overweight

    POW !

  42. she has a great smile….
hope I won’t get attacked by the other posters — but that’s all I liked about her entire look.

  43. Not my personal style but I think she is cute and trendy. Glad to see a curvy girl forgo the bodycon dresses. We need to be a friend to them chicks that are curvy that put them on and have all that extra tummy hanging out. I’m a big girl and that is not hot no matter how high it makes your breast look….leave….it….alone. Get it Robyn girl!!!

  44. Very cute style. I also love BCBG, so I guess we match up there. I love the lace skirt with the denim.

    Gorgeous girl!

  45. I think that this fashionista exudes confidence and has a strong sense of style. Not only does she include classic pieces that will never go out of style, but also a bit of trend, accompanied with her own flare. From head to toe she looks amazing and effortless, nothing is over done. I absolutely love the lace skirt with the jean top, this is hot and the skirt can be worn so many ways. The Herve is a must have and that black BCBG skirt is to die for!! Everyone wants it! You are showing that you can be fab in your own skin and you can mix and match tons of pieces to creates what works for you. Love your style boo and im sure you have inspired a sense of fashion for women of every size. xoxoxo Nyah said don’t hate congratulate she also said you shuts it down!! “FYE style” hahaha

  46. I love her style, Fashion is a popular trend, esp. in styles of dress, ornament, or behavior. Why must people get on here and say something about ones size. Ok, (this is to all negative comments) of course in the fashion industry people of her size and mine (I’m an 18) would say that we are overweight, obese or whatever you perfer. Well the point I am making is that fashion does not have a size and as an up and coming Plus Size model I have been in plenty of shows where I have walked better as well as dressed better than half of the skinny, unhealthy (need a side of cornbread) others that participated in the show. You know being under weight is also unhealthy but no one mentions that. For some I’m starting to believe that skinny people do strive to be evil smh.

Now, I’m more into color but for her style she is doing her thang. WORK it DIVA!!! Follow me @fashion_chic00 Smooches :-)

  47. I like every look Robyn. You look awesome. There seems to be alot of Detroit transplants here in Chicago and so far all have brought a great sense of style!

  48. I voted hits/misses because her style is cute but a couple of the looks I wasn’t feeling (the exposed pink bra under the jumper and the blue dress because it looks incomplete without the support of a good bra) looking back I should have voted differently, because she looks great but those 2 looks just threw me off.

  49. The only thing tight was her white pants everything else just fit. The blue dress is SUPPOSED to fit that way and it LOOKS GOOD. She doesn’t have to wear maxi dresses and empire waist A-line dresses. Don’t like the jumpsuit, not sure this is special enough to be bombshell. But she looks good.

  50. Hmm, the jumpsuit was my fav maybe because it was the only ting that actually fit her?

  51. Go head miss Robyn , laugh at these hatresu and tell em to go get some self esteem and Boss up please , cuz if they had it they wouldn’t be worried about the next, all you can do is laugh at the wack Anonymouses and wanna, be Divas smh… a true Diva you are hunny loving your style and taste #100
