Yesterday’s Bombshell was from India, but today we’re bringing it back to the USA with Renee from Indiana:

She says, “I’m a singer, songwriter, and mistress of fashion currently residing in Indianapolis.”

“… I believe that dressing well begins with understanding your body type…”

“… and being realistic about what looks you can pull off (and afford).”

” Style wise I go anywhere from ultra-fun and feminine to femme fatale!”

“.. In true starving artist fashion, I comb the clearance racks and thrift stores in search of looks for various events and shows.”

” I LOVE color, prints, and clean lines!”

” I have an online resale shop called Closet Closeout Boutique www.closetsale.bigcartel.com. You can also visit my website www.iamreneeking.com.”

Cute! I love your colorful looks, and your on stage outfits are the bomb!

  1. I like. She offered variety, colour, and style.

I really love the patterened dress in the second pic, everything about the look is on point to me.

I also like the high collared blouse. And those earring with the cream dress, love them.

I also adore the complete look of the grey outfit…she did a great job with the accessories and hair!

  2. YES YES YES!!!!!! You are Beautiful woman. I love your look you dress your age you know your body and your exude confidence. I love it Beautiful!!! t

  3. Not my style personally but I think as a performer they work. In fact I would suggest actually taking more risk and maybe losing some of the gaudy belts because you can get away with it on the stage!

    Best of luck!

  4. Hmm, I don’t think I’m seeing what the rest of you are seeing…
There were some outfits that were nice and others were not good. In my humble opinion, something was off about the looks and I can’t put my finger on it.

In any case, I love her use of colour. There is a real confidence about her that is lovely. All the best in your future endeavors Miss :)

  5. INDY IN THE HOUSE! Wonderful Outfits! Renee Represented VERY WELL! Let me know when you perform so I can support my people and catch a great show:-) #NAPTOWNSFINEST! – JT

  6. I call a flag on the play sir. I suspect most of the raving reviews/comments are from personal friends or acquaintances.

  7. All I can say is that Renee is a step in a new direction after what I have seen so far this week. Not my style but she certainly knows her body type and work with it.

  8. I dont know her from a can of paint.
I do see her shoes are a little big, but I like the style!

  9. @ MsNomer…yes! must be her peoples…b/c seriously, I’m NOT that impressed…sorry! she look like she can sing tho…

  10. @ MsNomer, I gave her PROPS because her style is very nice and I do not know her at all! So go ahead and pick up that Flag Replacement Ref!

  11. Great use of color and pattern. It fits her lifestyle. She’s giving me Ledisi tease. :) Where can we hear your music?

  12. The first and last pics were my favorite. I liked her makeup and the dress is pretty in the first pic. I loved the jumpsuit in the last pic. I voted some hits some misses.

  13. That last outfit hell no, screams ghetto ghetto like that blue eyeshadow she has on. some hits and misses. some outfits are a little on the ghetto side not my cup of tea.

  14. Fortunately I’m used to being both praised and criticized in my line of work! LOL I want to thank those that gave me constructive criticism and advice. You can always tell who’s being mean just because they can be…they never offer any suggestions of substance. Another item checked off my bucket list!

  15. Ok, She seems like she has a beautiful spirit. But really……..Completely LOVE photo one. Photo two..the outfit is cute, but too matchy..perhaps some neutral, brown , or tan shoes would have complimented the dress a little more? And the flower in the center is about three sizes two big. You have got a beautiful face and what seems like an outgoing personality. You don’t want your outfits to come off like they are competing or trying to outshine that. Outfit three is ADORABLE, but once again, lose the bold matchy belt. The shirt is a statement on it’s own you don’t need to add more! If you want to cinch your waist perhaps a skinny..less shiny belt. In the future try braided leather or basically anything that is not patent ;). Or if sliming is the look you were going for throw on a tailored jacket! The rest of the photos are dope. The black number is definitely super cute for the stage. But anyway, you’re beautiful & you’ve got a great sense of style. (:

  16. Lol #death to that outfit with the polka dots and pink shoes…that’s how the women in my family use to dress waaaayyyy back in the day.

  17. @kiss my Fashion, your post is one of the very rare times where I’ve seen someone offer real constructive feedback. I takes a lot of courage to open yourself up to being critiqued on this site but your suggestions were spot on so hopefully the poster takes them under consideration!

  18. Actually liked the polka dot fit on her. As Claire mentioned, she stage dresses well. Shoes are harder to fit and I can tell she wears banded styles to try and correct the situation. Some custom insoles may be a better solution: just ask your podiatrist.

  19. Chocolate beauty! Love the hair. She knows exactly how to use and mix colors. Some of the belts can be ditched all together or upgraded. Shoe’s could use some improvement as well, but she knows what she’s doing and how to do it. I like.

  20. I love that polka dot and stripe outfit, she definitely has her own style. Love it, bombshell all the way!
