Hey Hey!

Today’s Bombshell is stylist Mia from Philly:

She says, “I would describe my personal style as the last days of summer/first few days of fall: Anything pretty much goes!

“…It is impossible to classify my style as one specific genre so I will just refer to it as eclectic. It is my own form of self therapy. I use it to express my many facets and emotions.”

“…As a personal shopper I appreciate every style of dress. I love luxury pieces. Some favorite designers that I innately run to are Chanel, YSL, Christopher Kane, Alexander Wang and the almighty McQueen.”

“I am an average everyday working woman, so I love to mix and match my high end pieces with the affordable such as Top Shop, Zara, BCBG, H&M, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and a few other hidden gems!!”

“My must have accessory that I believe every woman should possess is confidence. It is definitely what will make or break your look. My mantra when it comes to dressing is “fashions fade, style is eternal”-Yves Saint Laurent.”

Mia, gworl, I love that last picture! The pussy bow top and dark jeans, finished off with the Hermès belt? Work!

  1. Do I see YSL Palais Mohawk Pumps???

Love the Hermes belt!!! I really really like the last outfit….

  2. “Meh” is the thought that comes to mind. The last pic would have been dope…but there are toilets in the background. Flush!

  3. Likes the zig zag print fabric, if it were a pencil skirt I’d be in love with the look. A nice array of patterns and prints. I like her bracelets and bangles, they’re stacked really well, all the jewelry comes off awesome. I don’t think the shoe choices did much for the looks though and the zipper skirt was a miss.

  4. I LOVE all this feedback this is awesome! I stumbled across this blog and i’m addicted. Great Community!!! I thought I would be brave and submit flicks of some of my day to day. MS. Windy City you are absolutely right:YSL Palais Mohawk Pumps! @ Christian*Dior its Virgin Indian Hair. Thanks again for everyone’s feedback, goood or bad I love fashion talk. lol

  5. The last outfit is great but because of the toilet, which was the second thing I saw after the bow, messes it up.
Note: Don’t send in pics with toilets or trashy backgrounds. If you have a nice outfit, it takes a way from it.

  6. I agree with the toilet comments. Such a nice outfit, she should have let the sun shine on it.

I feel like her other outfits would have shown better if she pulled the hair off her face into a bun , braid or ponytail. It seems to be overpowering.

On another note, of course she is a woman. I sometimes feel as though FB readers don’t just look at the clothes when making their judgments. I think she is attractive and clearly has a woman’s body.

  7. I absolutely love each look!! I gagged when I saw her shoe and bag game. Miss Mia, don’t think I don’t know my ish…prada pumps on the 2nd look, c.louboutin purple mary janes, and the blue chanel rain boots w/ the silver ysl bag I been wantin 4evvaaa…but hasn’t been in the budget lol! I aint no hater..WURK BIT…!!!!

  8. OMG! I love love love her style…also, I’m a hair/weave/wig fanatic and not trying to offend but her hair is OVAAAAAAH. If you can, could you find out what brand/type of hair it is! It is…OMG… I love it! LOL! I am seriously swooning (crazy about hair!!!)

  9. There are some great pieces here, but something about all of them together doesn’t quite flow so well. As someone mentioned about, your hair does get in the way of getting full view of the outfit, but great pieces, nonetheless!

  10. Those commenting on the background and the “toilet”… lol… get a life. It’s about the fashion and style…

  11. I can dig it. I see where she is going. Its actually different and not “safe”. I love love the last pic (i ddn’t notice the toilet till i read others comments) n I love the gray blazer pic 2!! I wanna know bout that str8 hair!!! I want sum!! FAB!! Shoe game is on POINT!

  12. I TOTALLY AGREE W/THE COMMENTS ABOUT MY HAIR. ALHTOUGH IT’S ME, I ALSO BELIEVE SOME OF MY LOOKS WOULD HAVE A GREATER IMPACT IF PULLED BACK. LOL @ THE PORCELAIN THRONE COMMENTS. I UNDERSTAND BUT I WAS @ WORK AND HAD TO SNEAK A QUICK SELF PORTRAIT LOL. @ BOO BOO ITS THE SAME HAIR (VIRGIN INDIAN) JUST STAIGHTENED. @ MISSJOIE I’M A GIRL LOL BUT HOW U DOIN. I LOVE MY QUEENS!!!

  13. I LUUUUURV THE LAST OUTFIT BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOT MY CUP OF TEA. KEEP WEKING IT GWORL!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Ms Mia you better WERK forget the haters you are FAB!! what part of philly you from?? Im a North GAL myself!!! I live for fashion as well!! keep up the good work!! *Kisses*

  15. I like the look with the big bow blouse and the one with shorts and tights. Although it may be the boots blinding me in the shorts & tights ensemble, because I lurve them.

  16. i agree i like your looks but after seeing your comments you have a great attitude to match your style!!!

  17. I LOVE MIAS ATTITUDE TOO. MAKES HER A FAB CHIC WITHOUT THE CLOTHES!! BUT HER STYLE IS DIFFERENT AND GRABS ATTENTION! I LUV THAT!! GO GIRL!!

  18. Cute outfits for the most part, but I agree that you should pull your hair back or into a bun sometimes. It’s covering your face and outfits.

  19. Hey Mia i really enjoyed your looks and like the other comments how unsafe they were thats always fun to see someone brave in fashion,i recently moved to Philly from oklahoma to pursue a career in fashion and was wondering do you know any great stores or places i should check out for some great clothes and hang out spots

  20. i LOVE LOVE LOVE THSE LOOKS, THE FIRST ONE IS NOT MY CUP OF TEA, BUT STILL, YOU HAVE AN EYE FOR FASHION! AND U ARE KILLING THOSE SHORTS GIRL WITH THE BOOTS! YESSSSSSSSS! & I LOVE YOUR POSITIVE ATTITUDE. KEEP IT UP! iM FROM PHILLY, PLEASE TELL ME WHO DOES YOUR HAIR!!! PLEASE?

  21. Don’t wear pink lipstick, it makes your lips look dry and ashy.Your skin tone looks better with darker colored lips. Over all your style is interesting.

  22. Love love love the grey shirt in the last picture!! Also have much respect for her gracious responses to the negative and positive comments! Kudos!

  23. i like the last outfit. the hair really doesn’t work, it’s just too much and looks really unnatural. i like her shoes. all the other outfits just aren’t my cup of tea.

  24. i like it…the shirt in the last one is on point…i want it. but i agree that i’m not a fan of the hair

  25. Love the Rainbow Dress Very cute !…@missjoie that comment was hateful smh its about the fashion.! @Miss Mia your attitude ROCKS :D

  26. HAPPY I DID THIS! I FEEL LIKE SOMETIMES WHEN WE GET DRESSED WE AIM TO ACHIEVE 1 LOOK AND THAT’S ALL U SEE. YOU NEVER REALLY KNOW HOW YOU COME ACROSS SO ITS GREAT TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS. ITS KIND OF LIKE A REALITY CHECK. I FEEL RE-CHARGED AND READY TO TRY DIFFERENT LOOKS AND START INCORPORATING SOME OF THESE SUGGESTIONS!!! THANKS AGAIN

  29. I think she has a nice style. People are drawn to the last photo because it’s a classic look. She has some great pieces. I would love to see her hair styled differently.

  30. The last pic did it for me….LOVES IT! *halston belt and big tie…girly…dainty..and chic =werk lol

  31. Hey Mia idk if u remember me, its been sooo long! Just wanted to say u look FAB, lovin the style yesssss!! if they ain’t talkin u aint relevant lol!
    stay beautiful!!!!!

  32. ah, a fellow Temple alum! I liked many parts of all of the looks even if i didn’t love each look in its entirety. i think the hair overpowers many of her looks because it hides her. the last look however… perfection. loved it.
