Rounding out this week of Bombshells is Lisa from New York:

She says, “Like every girl at an early age I fell in love with fashion when I would see my mother dress in leathers, furs, and cascading gowns-many of which I have managed to rescue from a fate at the Salvation Army.”

” I took my love for fashion to the next level by enrolling at FIT. My style is eye-catching and anything but simple. I’m not afraid to use color to create statements. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t wear or try at least once.”

” My experience in Visual Display allowed me to create presentations and dress mannequins for every type of customer. So it’s easy for me to switch gears from Career Chic to downtown prepster.”

” I used to live in NYC but will mention that I currently reside in Rochester (Upstate New York). Fashion does exist outside the big city:)”

“…When I’m not hiding from the world I can be found at www.physicalcanvas.com.”

Spunky and cute! You certainly have a look and own it!

  1. love it! i love the blackoutfit with the black pants and boots. werk honey child!

  2. I love it! Lisa definately as a sense of who she is. The mixture of textures, vintage and contemporary is hot…

  3. I love the locales she chose for each shot. I absolutely love the native American inspired gray and black top, that’s by fave look of all. Your style is speaking another language and I mean that in a good way.

  4. It’s cool that she pushes the envelope, but I do not see cohesiveness in the these looks. In my opinion each look is a little off. She either over does it ex. leather shirt, scarf, belt, lace leg wear or she doesn’t do enough black and white outfit. Maybe my expectations are higher do to the FIT background.

  5. Lisa’s style exudes confidence and personality! I love how each outfit is a personal twist on a trend. I heart every look!

  6. Wait a moment… I just visited the fb’s blog and I change my mind. I appreciate those looks much more. I think the looks I just viewed are more practical. I love the DIY. That bangage skirt is bangin. I also loved that leather look with the leg wear.

  7. Im not a fan of the tan boots or the pointy toe pumps. Too be honest Im not really a fan of any of it. I see where she was going but it just isnt doing much for me. Thumbs down.

  8. I’m not feeling it. It seems like she’s trying too hard. I think looking effortless is the key to pulling off looks like these. I do like some individual pieces just not most of it as a whole. Her blog is an interesting read though.

  9. i think there are some hits and misses, but overall i would say she has a bold, interesting sense of style.

  10. I think everything looks WELL thought out and put together and she pulls these looks off GREAT!!!! I really love the disco ball look and the two black and white outfits…the hair is rather cute and funky as well… I can’t say I dont like any of these outfits…I’d wear them all!

  11. I love her fierceness and her ideas. The fur, faded jeans and tan heels is super cute and of course the black and white outift looks great. The others are a little too “trying too hard” but I can tell she has a great eye! I will check out the blog ASAP :) Nice job!

  12. I like her style but I think she feature better looks on her blog. She made her own harem pants and rainbow bandage mini skirt!

  13. Like some but not others…I think she’s still searching for her fashion persona & is trying out all looks to find the right one!
Nice fashionista though, love the hair

  14. Great…I can finally say something. Now this girl has style. It is not the same look in every photo. Not the same boring colors. To ME (not you but me) her looks are refreshing. I tire of the same look on different people. ZZZZZZZZZ. I love the stockings, I love the ivory colored lace trim top. I love her vibe.

I look forward to seeing more from her.

  15. and give me that disco ball. I’m gonna’ super glue it on a belt some kind of way.

  16. lordy lordy that chil’ is fierce! after a while some of the Bombs start to look the same but (i think) shes def in her own lane! ur inspiring my dahling =)

  17. Ummm I little bit confused. Her outfits seem to be all over the place. Its either to much going on or not enough. And some seem to combine many trends that shouldn’t go together. Some of her accessories makes the outfits seem tacky. Having many friends that go to FIT and Parson and being a person that apply to grad school there she is going to have become more polish with her ideas and looks and less super trendy.

  18. Wow …I def like alot of her pieces each piece is very unique whether its the shape or the color… I love the variety.

  19. I like her style…its chic, sexy, playful & pushes the envelope. Of course since we are all different & have different taste bodies minds n etc i would add sum things and take away sum but its unique n b.t.w. i fell in love w the leather look (minus the boots) GO GIRL!!!!!!

  20. Look 2,4 & 6 are your best looks!!!…I come on FashionBomb Daily disapointed some times w/ the fashion bomb of the day but u would have 2 be one of the best ones so far.

    U have my vote!!!

  21. I love her style. It is so bold and eye catching and original. I don’t believe that everyone has to look “effortless” like you woke up and just threw something on that just happened to be chic. No, I can appreciate the clearly put together looks that really show that you made an effort to express yourself. You can tell she has a lot of confidence and passion for style. Go girl!!

  22. Lisa, your style has always been amazing! Keep doing you girl cause you look h-o-t!!! I love that your fearless!!! Keep it up.

  23. I respect anyone who develops their own personal style. If everyone looked super “polished” this world would be boring as hell. I love that her style is all her own and unique!!! No one person is going to be everyones personal taste.Looking back at some of the old “bombshells” & their boring outfits I’d say this chic is a definite upgrade! I live hunny!

  24. I personally know Lisa and she owns every look! She walks it, talks it, and lives it. She IS fashion. With an eye for the amazing, she always makes a look, right down to the finishing touches. She will be the fashion designer we all want to wear! You go Lisa!!!

  25. So glad you are not defined by FIT. Love love your style! Never boring. Always inspiring!
