Today we’re featuring Camden, New Jersey native, Lakia:

She says, “My style is a lot of things..

“… I’m laid back…”

“…and at the moment, I’m loving comfortable, baggy…”

“… “girl of the earth” clothing…”

“… But don’t get me wrong, I can put on a fitted outfit anytime (when I’m not feeling too bloated!).”

” Anyhow, I make my own clothing and am the owner of Sincere Jones (www.facebook.com/sincere.jones0)..”

“… I love all things dealing with fashion and love the fact that I can switch my look at the drop of a dime (rocker/sexy/bohemian/classic/etc).”

” To make your own clothing means NO ONE will ever look like you and I love being a trend setter..”

” I move to my own beat and love every minute of it..”

Work it! I’m partial to more fitted silhouettes so like your multicolored bodycon and colorblocked Mary Janes the best.

  1. There are a few items I liked: Multi-coloured white/black/gray skirt, your ‘girl of earth’ dress, and multi-coloured blue/green/yellow dress.

  2. She has her own style and is confident. Her unconventional style sets her apart from others. I love individuality.

  3. Not feeling any of the colour combos, shapes or overall looks sadly…not terrible but not great

  4. I love seeing someone who dresses to their body type. That zebra print peplum top, I want it!

  5. There’s too much material on her body! She has a fantastic figure, but you can’t see past all the fabric she’s wearing! I like her shoes a lot though! :-)

  6. I LOVE Your baggy looks. Did you make those pieces. I see lots of potential is what I voted.

  7. Some hits, some misses. As a women I understand about the “bloated” issue – we all have those days, however there are ways to dress for those days without looking sloppy and disheveled…. try leggings and an over sized top, or a dress with an a-line skirt. Those garments with all that extra material do absolutely nothing for her and are not flattering. Even if you take away the over-sized garments I still don’t find her style to be cohesive and her looks are all over the place- accessories/bags/shoes don’t compliment the outfits and vice versa.

  8. I don’t like the baggy grey or the oversize leopard but overall she is a bombshell and she has a nice shape!

  9. CMD in da house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not feelin’ the looks though! there are waaaaaaaayyyyy more stylish divas from the CMD!!!!!!!!!!! hope they join soon!

  10. I am disappointed in today’s choice. I am completely confused by her outfit choices and I am even more confused by the pics she submitted.

  11. I like the black/white peplum top with the black leggings, that’s about it. I understand the baggy look, but she has on way too much material. I like her confidence though.

  12. not a huge fan but i do like some of the items, such as the mary janes and the blazer. i vote some hits some misses.

  13. I love this website and in my eyes everyone featured is equally as fashionable as far as I’m concerned. For years I’ve read as readers give their opinions on what they consider hits or misses and while everyone is entitled to their opinion, it really takes some guts to send in your photos because this group of individuals are ruthless. Fashion is about self expression and no one expresses themselves the same but that’s the beautiful thing about our culture.

  14. Most of its not for me, I don’t see anything here and think “I have to have it” Those oversized maxi-dresses add about 50 pounds to her figure, pretty girl though.

  15. The two big grandma after church dresses are a NO for me. The orange blazer look, multi colored blue, green, and black dress, and the red and black are my favorites for her.

  16. The tank top with the grey dot skirt is my favorite outfit. I need more skirts like that. I would have changed the shoes though. Good effort.

  17. I like her shoes and the fact that she makes her own clothes and that she seems really comfortable and confident, but the clothes didn’t seem cohesive.

  18. In the age of tit and a$$….she looks amazing! I love baggy I love fitted…you look great girl, it’s about being comfortable and I like the way you switch it up! Kudos! Definitely a bombshell.

  19. I need her contact info ASAP…I need them clothes and I have some jewelry that will set that mess off!!!! You hear me (Ms Peaches LOL).

  20. I love her baggy outfits, some of them look like goubas that my mom wears. It is not for everyone but it works for her. Heck, I may need to contact her to get some outfits.

  21. So freshing! Not the typical bodycon club outfits that seem to reappear on here. Looking good girl!

  22. She has a good eye and some interesting peices, but execution could use a little work. Plus while I like the baggy look in concept, I think that some of these looks are VERY unflattering and add 20-50 lbs to her. I do applaud her for taking some risks, but she should dress for her body type (neither skin tight or oversized). Also, I think her face would pop more with some lipstick. Kill the peplum outfit though…looks terrible!
