Hey Jayla! You’re cute as a button. Overall, I think you dress very appropriately for your age. Only two outfits gave me pause: the distressed jeans with the fishnet stockings. And the crop top and shorts with garter tights seems a little racy, but hey, Rihanna wears garter tights, so what do I know?

  5. I agree, I think your style is age appropriate except for 2 outfits that you hopefully don’t wear to school (lol). Besides that, I think that your style is fun for a high school student. You have many years ahead of you to define your style, right now I say keep having fun with your outfits. You pull off casual chic very well :-)

  11. I think she is still a work in progress. It seems like she was more concerned with being featured on the site so she just put some outfits together. But overall cute girl, cute shape.

  21. I think sophisticated was a wrong word choice, but her style very age appropriate. The last look would have gotten me clothe’s lined by mother, but I love the look with the sneakers. It reminds me of how I dressed in HS.

  22. She is young, gorgeous, and already has personal style. Being that she is still young, I’m sure her style will keep evolving and she will be fabulous. I definitely think she is a bombshell in-the-making :-) Some people leaving negative comments need to remember that she is a child and also need to use spell check. Its free. And so what if she’s skinny?

    But yes oh YES to the person who commented about the control top part of the pantyhose showing. Note: It just looks trashy and that’s not what you want to be giving off.

  33. auw she’s cute some of the looks are a little too sexified but overall for 18yrs (?) she is doing great. I was a jeans and tee girl in high school and thought I was styling lol

  34. She’s pretty girl…those distressed jeans and fishnets gave me a pause too! Guess because she could be my daughter. lol! I’m not shocked at the heels and garter tights. I see HS girls standing at the bus stop in platform stilettos in the morning. Her style actually reminds me of a lot of college girls, dressing for the club to go to class…so should fit in to someone’s campus well.

  58. I’m 21 and people wear the huge cut out distressed denim at my school too. I hate it, it looks so tacky with so much thigh showing. The ladies who are saying you took a pause because of the your age…its not your age, its just not an attractive look. I mean what is the purpose, why not wear shorts instead of pants with huge holes?
    Besides that, shes definitely on trend with the rest of high schoolers. When I have to pick my brother up from school all I see are the outfits shes wearing. :)

I offer honest feedback which at minimum enriches the variety of your site. I have watched you grow as a black women I admired you. Its never easy, it is sad when we achieve some success how it changes some. Anywho you action speaks mountains about your integrity and lack of objectivity. I thought you were a journalist. As black people frequently the world hold us to a lower standard. I wonder why?

  65. Style seems a like a bit of a miss. Her looks need to be completed and touched up a bit. Its also a little trendy, as she gets older she can make the proper adjustments, with a seasoned eye! cute girl!
