Forgive the slow posts today, I’m still recovering from last night’s watch party!
But of course no day on the Fashion Bomb would be complete without our daily Bombshell. Check out Jasmine from Maryland:

She writes, “My style is classic,”

“Vintage..”

” With a dash of trendy!”

“..I never, ever forget the nail polish!”

“See more of my looks at www.webhautejas.com.”

Hey Jasmine! You have some great pieces, particularly that multicolored blazer. I think some things would come across better if styled differently–for example wearing your long pants with a heel. But from what I can see you’re off to a great start!
What do you think?

Fashion Bombshell of the Day is a feature showcasing the singular style of Fashion Bomb Readers. Send your name, location, a description of your style, and 2-6 picture(s) to th************@gm***.com. 1. She’s got some nice pieces (blazer, denim shirt, soft pink blouse, tights) but she isn’t styling them in a way to do any justice.

  2. *pops a fresh batch of popcorn* to watch these comments…….I love the colorblock blazer that’s the only thing I like about this submission but if she likes it I love it

  3. I agree with Claire that she should style pieces differently. I personally don’t like the bright red blazer but the other looks have potential.

  4. I do not like any of the looks as a whole but I agree with Claire, she has beautiful pieces like that long tan coat – it’s gorgeous. And I love her sunglasses!

Bunny ears though? Really? What is that about?

  5. I think the bunny ears are drawn on the wall lol. The look with the camel coat would have done it for me had she paired it with a nice heel. A smile here and there wouldn’t hurt either. =)

  6. 1st 2 looks are cute..But I kno you all wil read this young woman from head to heels…shame I do love a great pair of white slacks, and pairing them with the tan coat is very chic.

  7. Agreed with Claire…taking a little away from each look might have donned a better final look

  8. Maybe a more polished face with some color on the lips or something. She’s not pulling it all together. A bit disappointing

  9. I like the professional outfit in the first photo, I would only suggest that the trousers be altered to the right length for her height. The color palette for that outfit was lovely. The necklace was great as well.

  10. LOL – Fashion girls & gurls can be a ruthless bunch! I have to agree that the styling leaves a bit to be desired, but there are some good pieces in her wardrobe. I, for one, love the bunny ears; they’re super cute. Actually, I like the entire bunny ears outfit – it’s the only one I like. The rest are just poorly executed. Lots of good pieces, though.

  11. She looks very rough. she could benefit from some makeup because she looks like a round-the-way girl trying to be glam but instead looks unpolished…

  12. Sometimes the picture in your mind, just dsnt match what you end up wearing…..

  13. Her face (uneven tone, dark circles under her eyes) and her neck rings make her look about 58….

  14. ok so i looked through her blog. first, she does REALLY nice nail art. but as far as fashion…she has good pieces but doesn’t but them together right…and also, she doesn’t dress to flatter her shape..she is top heavy and it seems like her close emphasize the disproportion instead of balancing her out

  15. I’m on the same page as everyone else. Great pieces. Poor execution. However, I do applaud her effort :)

  16. Claire you’re joking right??? Im still waiting on you to say sike …… *looks at watch*

  17. I like her style, she owns it! I especially love the light pink blouse in the first picture, very delicate and feminine.

  18. Im with Tia, she doesn’t do it. Her nail art is Fab, but she’s just not “bombshell”. Her pieces are nice but aren’t styled in a flattering way at all…also I don’t agree with the uneven skim tone or the darkest circles around the eye area….some Concealer will fix that right on up…..

  19. And the bunny wards are real and not on the mural…im just going to shake my head on that one

  20. Some of y’all need Jesus. And I’m agnostic. Yay Jas! You know I love you. Beautiful girl inside and out and is true to herself :-) And her nail art is to DIE FOR.

  21. I have to agree with most of your opinions. The pieces are great but the result lacks something. I’m not impressed.

  22. Im not fashionista or anything, but when I look at clothes ….and people in clothes I look to be inspired. If I saw her walking down the street I wouldnt think twice about her outfits. Now im not saying she looks awful, just not head turning.

  23. FRUMPY and not well put together. I see the ideas, but they fall on deafs ears. I love the jacket in the second pic, but everything else looked cheap and faded. The white pants you had on were too big and way too long.Your hair didn’t look good in most of the pics. It just looks like old faded stuff, Vintage shouldn’t look like you bhought it at the bottom of the Good Will barrel.

  24. nice pieces…but not necessarily together…she looks just like i picture STEREOTYPICAL (let me put that in caps before yall jump all over me) Maryland DMV girls looking…im over it…stop with all the trends and the colors…do you really have on leopard print pants, a stripped stop, a plaid shirt, black jacket, and brown boots? Im all about not matching…but i cant take this…

  25. The first picture drew me in and would have kept me had she paired that look with a heel. She lost me on the other looks. She needs to learn to dress her shape and style the pieces she has. Flip through magazines, look at blogs and play around in the mirror for inspiration. Keep it up darling you show some promise.

  26. The beautiful thing about fashion is that everyone can express themselves through clothing- I give this girl kudos for putting herself out here to be criticized- and with these formats, people are more likely to say things that they normally COULDN’T say to that person face to face.

She gets an A for effort, but I do feel that she is trying hard to achieve something that is not her natural style- I could be wrong but this is my interpretation- Less is always more in my book, and I think if she had been a bit subtle her delivery would’ve been well received. I would’ve liked it if she would’ve done something with her hair as well- she looks a little rough around the edges (no pun intended)

  27. @jumelle….YES…that was sooo well said…i can she where she was going, and her inspiration..but it seemed like it wasnt her own yet…and fashion takes time, and it cant be “figured out” overnight…

she should keep up the work…she clearly has a passion for it…and she picks nice pieces…just work on the execution and she will be awesome!

  28. The only look I like is the vintage one w/ the jean shorts. I seem to be in the minority as I do not like the multi-colored blazer at all….Overall I was a underwhelmed…

    HOWEVER

When I rate and comment, I do not look at people’s skin tones, blemishes, facial features, or weight as NONE of us can help what God gave us. Please stick to commenting on the clothes people!!

  29. My only concern is that her clothes aren’t figure flattering and she needs better footwear in her arsenal. A work in progress, but she’s headed in the right direction… I think.

  30. I find her style to be all over the the place. She did describe herself to be “classic, vintage and trendy” but you really must try to narrow it to one style for your core wardrobe and maybe accessorie as you please with elements from other styles. For example the first photo has classic (the coat), vintage (the denim shirt) and trendy (the necklace). Mixing all those elements just doesn’t work well. Sometimes a smile is really the best accessory, try doing it more when you take pictures!

  31. Swear that last pic made me think of The Color Purple…”Stylish Sealy”. I can rock with the pink top n shorts look tho. The rest…no mam

  32. Seeing her in the bunny ears hair-band just made me remember something.
Does ANYONE know where I can get the bunny headband that Beyonce wore in her “Party” video? I have been looking for a while now, and can’t seem to find one anywhere. Thanks.

  33. Ah, I see where she was trying to go and there is potential but I must parrot what the dominant feel is and say she just isn’t executing the looks properly. I don’t think her clothing is very flattering.

Love the black hat, I need me one of those.

I cried on the inside a little when I realized the bunny ears were casting a shadow on the wall and therefore were not a part of the mural. Who on earth takes anyone seriously when they are wearing bunny ears?

Anyways, try different style combos and the look could come togethernicely!

  34. omg NOOO i looked at her blog any none of her outfits are BANGIN.. Its as if she got dress in the dark,.. the pieces dont go together they all clash.. None of her outfits does any justice. Imma send my pictures for a bombshell and show yall what a real bombshell looks like

  35. I’m still looking at the screen to see the “nice pieces” yall see!

Kudos to her submitting her pics to FBD though!

  36. STOP!…Dying, crying laughing at yall comments!!!….hehehehahaha…omg, my tummy hurts!!!

  37. I’m really not here for that crayola blazer…just like the shorts and pink blouse combo the rest I can do without tbh. Some of these comments tho…lol!!

  38. I don’t have time for pessimistic closed minded discouraging ppl…. Lawd why can’t we be kind and give constructive criticism… I hate that this sites comments are becoming nasty so quickly… Claire can u please talk to your viewers…

  39. I liked the pink top and cut off shorts, that was a cute look! Love, love, love the blazer, just not with the other stuff. Some hits and misses.

  40. That is not where it is at………..LOL
In the words of the gay wedding planner, Anthony from sex in the city – HATED IT.

  41. i think she is wearing some nice pieces, but they weren’t really put together properly.

  42. She may be still trying to find herself fashion wise. I think it would be really cool if her blog was a DIY manicure type blog. She’s clearly very talented and I would love to know how to do some of that as I’m sure others would too! I think she’d get a lot of followers!!

  43. @ Amani- No one can help what God gave us???
    Uhmm people can’t:
1.work out and lose weight or wear undergarments to slim & support?
    2. use skin care to improve uneven skin tone & blemishes?
    3. use make up to conceal uneven skintone & undereye circles?

People submit their looks and comments will be made, however…your skin, hair and body are all a part of your overall look so that is also a part of your bombshell submission….as if someone can be considered a model or even a fashion bombshell with less than desirable facial features, haircare or anything else that the clothes go along with!

  44. @CA I agree 100% with you. You can aways improve on yourself. Excuses are for lazy people.

  45. Go ahead Jasmine, I always say fashion is subjective, so keep doing your thing. I love people with their own style.

  46. i think she just need a lil bit more work she not the worst THAT OTHER ONE WITH THE PEACOCK FEATHERS WAS HORRIBLE
