Hey Guys!
Today’s Bombshell, Jacinta, hails from Charleston, South Carolina:

The Duke University grad says, “I would describe my style as edgy old-lady chic.”

“… My grandma believes there’s really an old woman inside my body whose heyday was in the late 50s and early 60s.”

” I wear mink stoles, scarves on my head, Grace Kelly-inspired nipped in waists with voluminous skirts, vintage brooches, and tons of fur, coupled with modern pieces of course.”

“… My closest friends know I’m a quasi-introvert and that I express my emotions in creative ways, so I favor bright colors like teal, coral, marigold, and chartreuse.”

” I travel quite a bit and love to pick pieces that will evoke memories of where I’ve traveled.”

“…I’m inspired by Gene Tierney, Grace Kelly, Kerry Washington, and Bianca Jagger.”

I love it! Bright colors work on you, and you make vintage items look young and modern.

  1. I love the colors you wear and how your curls pop with that color in your hair. Your clothing seems to match your personality in the pictures. The only advice I would give is don’t be scared to wear jeans or different styles of skirts.

  2. **FASHIONBOMB ALERT** First off, she is GORGE. Her clothes are creative, flyy and edgy. I love love this girl style!! Love the accessories and prints. #showemhowitsdone

  3. That super blond hair in some pics is killing me softly. I really think she should stay away from that super light hair color. Its not a good look.
Other than that, she’s doing a great job of wearing vintage clothes with a modern twist. I think she should invest in more vintage accessories like bangles, pins, and necklaces to really pull the look through. I don’t think that white statement necklaces goes with that red romper in the last pic.

  4. I love anything done in color and your prints are wonderful!

Your hair is awesome as well! Ignore those who dont pay for your hair care. :-)

  5. i love your choice of floral prints and bright colors…I would love to see you in a different skirt style like pencil or a-line…love the hair!

  6. I felt none of the looks did anything for her. The accessories seemed excessive too. I liked the dark blonde curls with deep roots as opposed to the lighter with platinum roots.

  7. Those blond curls are to diiieeee foorrr, not my style but it works on her no doubt, love the color combo, especially with the red lipstick
Not a fan of waiste belts but oh well…FLLYYY

  8. One of the best Fashion Bombs I’ve seen this year. Her colors are fly and that blue and white dress in the 3rd to last pic??? Give it to me please lol

  9. i think she looks fantastic. she has a great use of color and the belts totally accentuate her shape. i think her hair is her best accessory.

  10. I am so in love with the navy blue and white dress with the orange belt and nails!!! Such a great combo for summer that I never thought to pair!!!

  11. Does she buy her clothes in South Carolina. It doesn’t seem to be the most fashion foward place (no shade)

  12. side eye at politicallyincorrect, fashion is subjective honey lol(no shade). Anyhoo, I love. The hair is awesome the clothes are great, and the sassiness in the photos just works with your outfits.

  13. I love her style but most of all I love her hair…If only I can get my hair to that point!!! Beautiful!!

  14. LOVES IT!!!! She is a very pretty girl and has the style to match! She def. pulls off her look in a classy way. The navy blue and white number with the mustard belt…my fav! Love the red lipstick on her and her hair is GORGE!!!! Def. a fashion BOMB!!! WERK GURL!!!!!

  15. This is Jacinta, thanks for all the lovely comments guys! They are so appreciated and made a really horrible day yesterday wonderful :) And to the not so lovely comments sprinkled here and there, thanks too! To each their own but my own is fabulous! Criticism noted, lol.

@politicallyincorrect most of my clothes come from consignment and thrift stores in Charleston, specifically James Island and West Ashley. But the majority of outfits on this page were bought in Seoul, South Korea.

@It_Girl! I love love love pencil skirts, but I know I’m committing fashion blasphemy when I say that I really don’t like wearing heels. I do wear them in the summer but no other time. I’m 5″2 and very rarely like wearing pencil skirts anymore because I care very little for hurt feet. Got any recs for a comfy brand of shoe?

@Annie L., can you elaborate? I’m not being snarky I just want to know why you thought that. Colors? Silhouettes? Fabrics?

@Marie-josé girl if I wasn’t shaped like an H I would gladly ditch the belts, lol

@everyone who liked the blue and creme dress (I know it looks white in the pic), it actually has really billowy sleeves that made me look like a coffee filter (no bueno), so I rolled/tucked the sleeves into a halter neckline.

  16. I love her style! What I love is that she wears clothes that are suited to her and not necessarily trendy. WIN! The 2nd shot where she’s wearing the black dress with red lips is a winner!

  17. LOve. Her!
    Hair..yes!
straight in the last pic:( i don’t care for that..but i love that blonde on you girl!!!! You have a great sense of style!

  18. LOve. Her!

  19. @Jacinta,

I have no problem w/respectfully answering your question : ) I felt the colors in the floral print patterns were dated; I thought the sleeve in the 1st pic came off very boxy, especially in that fabric; I didn’t like the effect of the contrast stitching on the blue/white dress and thought some of the accessories, such as the bow, the white necklace and the gloves in the first pic came off as forced. Since you asked me to elaborate, I’m assuming you know that my response is a personal critique. Thank you for sharing your photos and your fashion sense, obviously there’s a lot of praise for your style on this board.

  20. I love it all, she looks bright and bubbly and having fun with fashion which is what its all about, j’adore the accessories, which make the outfit, this girl is brimming with style, personality and confidence, tres chic, mon amie, the best one I have seen on this blog thus far!

  21. I also wear flats and sandals, especially when going to my job. I highly advice kitten heel(they look good with pencil skirts),wedges(Not the high ones). Jcrew makes some very comfoy heels, they don’t make those crazy stripper heels. You slowly train your feet. I’m 5foot 4, so I understand.

  22. I know Im like two years too late LOL but Jacinta, I just have to say you are my “hair twin” . Inspiration from one curly head to another! I love the fact that you are ultra fem as well…I ADORE dresses!!! Keep being a bomber and hope to see you again in the future!!!
