Shout out to the New Yorkers braving Hurricane Sandy! Sure, you might be getting walloped by wind, but hopefully Empire state native Ida can lift your spirits:

The Atlanta resident writes,” My style is pretty much renegade.

“… [I have] no commitment to any particular genre of style…”

“[My style] is a culmination of everything I encounter.”

” I could be in a hoodie one day and the next day day in something whimsical.”

” I like to clash the titans…”

“…mixing the old with the new, chic with grunge…”

” Boy with girl…”

“… and wrong with right.”

My blogs are Naturallyfreshblvd.com and Hotpeeznbutta.com, which is more focused on natural hair.”

Ok! I can see you’re definitely a renegade stylista who doesn’t follow the rules. I applaud your confidence, and love your printed shirt, bell bottom jeans, and Fulani earrings (and hand over that leopard print top!).

  1. now this is a bombshell! don’t get me wrong…none of her looks have a radiant “wow” factor about them, but she looks neat, clean, and chic, and she made it her own! she doesn’t look like anyone else! i like how she added that little hat cocked to the side and the shoes and accessories that brings the outfits to 3-D! and she looks like she dresses for herself and nobody else!

p.s. feelin’ that yellow dress! le freak c’est chic!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Claire, though –> ” Pretty Girl, but her style is confusing.” The way you change the voting choices up kills me but that one made me lolz

  3. I like her gold earrings..but this is fashionbomb..not what i’ll wear to a family reunion bomb..there is nothing about her that screams fashion..I might be a little hard on her..but i’ve noticed ppl will submit jeans and tee shirt and pose with their head down and swear it’s fashion..stop it..

  4. It’s interesting to read what some people think is fashion. Fashion has everything to do with personal style and taste, as some of the ass backward things that become trend. But, who I am too judge. Lol. I love her style and taste #everybodyisnotintoplaidshirtsstuffeddowninbootyshorts

  5. I had to vote hit and miss. Some of the outfits just were a bit off to me. Overall, I like her and I’m loving her confidence. She looks put together.

@Heyyall, every outfits ARE fashion. Gosh, people complain when the outfits are too elaborate and not realistic as everyday clothes and now people complain that bombshells shouldn’t submit realistic looks. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t.

  6. I actually really enjoy her style…very eclectic and rustic yet retro and urban.

Not a fan of the minature hat but I appreciate the attempt. Love the yellow dress with blue accents, the vibrant green skirt and the simplicity of the white tank and military pants. Also really enjoy the bold accessories.

  7. Ooookkk the person that said why do people submit everyday outfits, it’s because we live in reality and have to put,on clothes! Do people think before they type! Nothing super wow about her looks, but I do think she would get noticed in a crowd, in,a good way!

  8. What makes her a bombshell is her keen ability to take an “everyday outfit” add a special piece or two and create a total look that is interesting and conveys her unique, personal style.

  9. Its a hit or miss for me. She has some pieces I would rock. I am not feeling the top hat with the striped dress. Some of the outfits are basic, but I love that leopard top.

  10. She’s pretty, I like her skin and hair. Her outfits need only minor tweaking but she’s good.

  11. i am so tired of these cliche’ style descriptions from almost every bombshell that’s featured. It seems like everyone says that their style is a little bit of everything -___-. im getting sick of reading the same thing. Please ladies and gents, get a little creative with your descriptions.

  12. I like her looks… but not the big gold spider necklace, but that’s only because I am terrified of spiders.

  13. People have the MOST to sayyyyy. I really wish one day some of the people submitting comments can submit some photo’s of what a “bombshell” is suppose to look like. -_-

  14. I agree @Jhess…..all of those not in favor, please submit so Claire can pick you out all the submissions she receives. Anyway, Ida is unique and I like some of the styles

  15. Love her. She dresses like a lady. Fashion is not always about looking like a basketball wives knockoff. Well done.

  16. I think she looks super comfortable and confident! That’s what counts! You don’t have to be outrageous to be fashionable…

  17. I thought she was a good pick. There may not be an overwhelming glam factor but fashion is not just on catwalks!!! I loved her outfits, nice mix of casual and upscale chic.

  18. I don’t really understand her ‘style’…a few of her outfits just look very dated IMO. The only one I really like is the one with the full green skirt

  19. I like the thetrics of the top hat lol, she has an effortless look to her outfits which I enjoyed.

  20. Love her accessories! I’ve never seen Fulanis that big. The adorable fascination and the spiderweb necklace got my vote

  21. Love her short hair. She is working it. I like her look. The green skirt is beautiful and the bell bottoms are a good look on her…..

  22. I do like the way you have framed this specific concern and it really does supply me personally some fodder for consideration. However, through everything that I have witnessed, I really wish as the feedback stack on that men and women keep on point and don’t start on a tirade involving some other news of the day. Still, thank you for this fantastic piece and though I can not concur with the idea in totality, I respect the point of view.
