Today’s fly Bombshell is China from Chi-Town:

She writes, “I’m a nursing student and I visit this site religiously.”

“I might define my style as comfortable, tailored and chic. Although it is forever evolving.”

“While most people describe my style as “tailored”, I can be very unpredictable.”

“I can go from wearing pumps and a blazer to boots and a jacket.”

“The utmost girly side of me comes out during summer– the florals, short shorts, dresses, crop tops, etc”

“My biggest clothing accessories are my rings, shoes, and wrist-watches!”

I so much love neutrals: black, white, nude, beige, tan, cream, ivory… I sometimes go for a single bold color to accentuate my outfit.”

“I’m addicted to fashion blogs. I love to blog from time to time to keep myself sane! *_* You can see more of my personal styles on www.chixtine.blogspot.com.”

“Who says nursing students can’t be stylish? ^_^”

Lovely. And what a great way to kick off the week, eh? Love the red pants outfit and also your yellow and red combo. Simple, yet alluringly chic.

  1. I don’t really know why I am hesitant to say she’s a bombshell. I mean she’s beautiful, has great pieces and some of the looks were stellar…idk…. To me it seems like she really isn’t owning most of them. Some of the looks are wearing her. Still she’s far above some of what we saw last week…whew, chile.

  2. I just saw on Twitter where someone tried to come for Claire talkin about “China is in Asia, not Chicago”. So I had to take a look! I’m hatin on errybody that has those Zara sandals, they don’t seem to wanna re-stock a size 9 for ya girl…but I love the hair

  3. With the exception of the red pant look, the tan jacket an black pant and red and yellow combo most of these looks are wearing her and not the other way around. With the exception of the aforementioned looks her personality is nonexistent. I go straight to the clothes. A bombshell takes you in with the whole package (i.e. Hair, clothes, make-up,etc.).

  4. love your style china! simple and well put together and the looks are not owning her! umm maybe the camera used was not the best! but you get the picture! all in all Cute style! pretty chica! :)

  5. Something is throwing me off – and I can’t really figure out what.
I like the outfit with the red pants, as well as the floral dress. Others seemed just ok.

I think generally, she needs to work on the cohesiveness of her style and “owning” her look.

  6. the only look i really like is the first one.the rest are really boring, especially the black top, denim and those ugly beige shoes.the make up and hair is pretty.im usually more of a simple everyday look girl myself, but she need to jazz it up a little.

  7. I am from Chicago, so shout out to that but I think she is a little predictable or shall I say safe? She is def a Beauty , not sure about bombshell.

  8. Gheesh i remember when the fashion bombshell of the day wasnt so severly critiqued like some of u all do … I think when Claire asks “what do you think” i dont think she means pick the person apart down to every little detail ! Nonetheless i think her style looks natural and not forced :-)

  9. The problem is that her style isn’t bad,ITS BORING! A couple of nice pieces and too much black. Nothing outside of the box. The weave with the part on the side is a NO NO!

  10. I’m from Chicago, and sorry, I can’t like this. Her weave, especially the curly one, looks a mess. She has some looks that I like and others that are just ehhh….Overall nothing gives me life!

  11. I like it! do ya thing I agree the hair does look a little wiggy but you working it tho

  12. “While most people describe my style as “tailored”, I can be very unpredictable.” Nothing unpredictable. I was waiting for the next pic to be WOW, but nothing was even remotely close, except for her hair.

Pretty girl, but hair is a big part of your look. Step away from the BSS synthetic lacefronts and at least invest in some quality human hair

  13. She is a BOMBSHELL, not everyone goes around looking like a clown on a daily basis…her style is classy and chic. Throwing random prints together, rocking JCs, fur and weird looking outfits is not what being a bombshell is about. As for her weave, I see nothing wrong with it. She is a STUDENT, no crime in shopping according to your budget. She said, her style is evolving, she will invest in expensive weaves when she becomes a NURSE. Werk it gyal…

  14. Well, I was going to ignore the comments about my weave, but I’ll have some of you know that my weave, which is of no concern of yours, is NOT my biggest priority. They are weaves (not wigs) done by me (and I’m not a professional in that field). So before you become all bold behind the screen to taunt fashion bombshell entries, evaluate your own lives.

  15. I love her style. Looking good is not easy and it’s an everyday process. She clearly isn’t following trends like most women do just to fit in with everyone else. Individual style is just that I.N.D.I.V.I.D.U.A.L. As long as you grow and evolve with your style, it will always be fashionable. My favorite part about her style is her use of bright colors to highlight certain pieces. I don’t understand why most people think that accessories have to dominate an outfit. The best part of fashion is experimenting and trying different looks. I also agree with everything that @Misskhadiva said. Keep evolving and being beautiful China, the rest will follow accordingly.

  16. Hmmm, relax people. It’s her personal style, not something that she’s asking you all to cop. In case you missed the part where she said that she’s a nursing student (because you were too forward), Nursing students don’t get breaks! I am one myself and I must commend her for putting forth great efforts in looking good under stress! It’s obvious that she cares about more important things in life than weaves worth $200. Do you gurl!

  17. She is a beautiful girl and I really like the majority of her looks. Her looks are simple and put together but she still looks sexy.

  18. I visited her blog and she said people who aren’t in the industry have no right to critique her and are clearly bitter and filled with hate. How about maybe it was just that not everyone was feeling your submission and your weaves are bad.
Bombshells who say these things are the worst to me because most of the time no one is hating on them and if they didn’t have such a big head, they might be able to use some of the criticism.

  19. If your weave is not your weave is NOT your biggest priority you may walk to step out the fashion industry, because your hair and makeup is an important part of your entire look. You had some cute pieces, but your style needs some work. You are so big headed that you can’t take some WELL NEEDED ADVICE FROM PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF WHO WORK IN FASHION AND STEP YOUR GAME UP. You wouldn’t last a day in New York City at my job.

  20. Wow u guys are funny with your comments. i’m not a girl but from what u saw, she seriously needs to start SMILING rather than frown so much, her positions are the same (BORING). Cloths look dated not even vintage by any chance. all-in-all, she needs more help and a better hair, well put together clothing, good make-up and a BETTER ATTITUDE.
