  3. Love the hair. Dig some of the patterns in her outfits, but less is always more in my book.
    That last photo with the navy blazer, animal print tights and denim shorts has entirely too much going on. Too many trends at once. I think it could’ve worked by ditching the light blue denim for something darker or by switching out the patterned tights for something solid. And I would ditch the pink purse and those boots altogether in that particular outfit. Anyhow, just my take.

  8. I just have to say, the last fashion bomb was not on point. She’s lucky she closed the comment area.

    Her hair is very nice, but there is way too much going on. many people adore the early 90’s, but not everyone can pull it off. The blazers, the sweaters, and the belts can sometimes turn an outfit into a decade party outfit. Too many colors, no need to have so much brigtness all over the place. You’re a pretty girl, but calm the colors down a little. Your outfits will have more balance.

  11. It’s personaly not what I would call fashionable, but it’s cute for her. I agree it girl, you have to be careful on trying to dress vintage and colorful or you’ll look like you came out of early 80’s show Miami Vice.

  16. I think that she looks amazing……it’s not easy being different or more importantly being yourself. EVERYONE will not like it but it takes confidence and a strong sense of commitment to pull it off. A lot of people who are known for their fashion sense started out misunderstood and more times than not accused of not being fashionable or stylish!!!! I view criticisms about one’s style as affirmation that you are on to something. It takes some a little longer to catch on. YOU miss thing are killing the game. Props to you and please don’t stop :)

  19. I’m sorry, but there is all types of wrong going on. people say Nikki and amber rose are fashionable and people diss them because we just don’t understand them, but they are tacky and that will never change. I love the hair, but everything else is just too much.

  31. I love Ash’s style! and it’s not because I’m friends with her. I keep reading the comments above and few people are saying she’s doing too much, BUT that’s HER style. Apparently whatever she’s doing is PERFECT because it got her on the site. I like the mixture of the colors, and I love the fact that it’s loud. A bunch of bold colors that not everyone can pull off which is why it makes it such a UNIQUE style of HER own. It’s not meant to able to be worn by everyone, that’s not what fashion is about. Ashley you look amazing…and I don’t care if you mix the 20’s with the 2000’s if you can make it look good for you then it’s perfect! Dress to EXPRESS…not to IMPRESS!

  76. A person can be fashion forward and wear vintage pieces……Fashion repeats itself ANYONE who loves fashion knows this….being fashion forward implies that she knows how to take timeless pieces and make them her own which she did do!!! Hours later and I still like it. :)

  78. Based on the photos submitted the style is not extremely unique, but I’m assuming she’s from a smaller town where in comparison to bigger cities, you’ll find a lot more people tend to stick with conventional looks (thumbs down to that)

    Anyway looooove the pink & blue blazer pic, and I love any individual with confidence that’s the most important ingredient when it comes to rockin’ your style.

  102. Most women from impoverished parts of the south can not dress. This includes her home state. I think her style is very predictable, especially if she lived in NY. It seems all the girls dressing in their moms clothing from the 80’s and 90’s want you to give them the title of special and unique, but all they are doing is copying looks from their mother and aunts photo albums. She may be unique for her home state, but not in the world of fashion. You have to know how to mix pieces and add a modern feel to whatever you wear. Right now I get a feeling that her clothing smells of moth balls from 1991. It’s fine if her friends and family want to show her support, but this isn’t a popularity contest.

  104. Thank you to all the negative and positive comments! I need them all in order to stride successfully. There is no success without knowing failure. Everyone does not have to agree or support my styling preference but it obviously speaks volumes. To the low percentage voters, I use your words for vitamins! Im immune to negativity and your vitamins just keep me energized to continously be spontaneous. I may do too much for some (they say that Lady GaGa does too much with her fashion as well; a bit ironic huh?) Thanks to all the supporters and non-supporters, your words are stimulating to my progress!   141. maybe it’s because I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s that I have such an issue with folks rocking styles from those decades and declaring it “new and fashion forward”… *sigh* her styles are cute and if she likes ’em, that’s great. i love all the color but there’s not much “fashion forward” here… she’s got fab hair though!

    I don’t know this girl from Shaniqua & Betty down the street but at least give shawty credit when credit is due. You might be able to name maybe 3 trends that came out of the clear blue sky but even those have run its course more than once. Just her being bold enough to post her pictures is credible. You might not like it but h3ll she & others on this site did which is why “praise-worthy” comments were posted.
