Great submission! I’d say you had some hits and some misses–some ensembles were supremely flattering, others not so much. Loved your black dress look and your peplum ensemble.

  1. who wants to submit just to be ripped to shreds on this blog especially the plus ones.

  2. there is one particular row of IG photos that i can NOT handle w the club attire. UNACCEPTABLE.

if you went out those nights with your friends, they are NOT YOUR FRIENDS

  3. Cute girl; cool style but she would look much better if she dressed for her size. Love her confidence either way

  4. Liked the polka dot dress on her frame. It was the most flattering. The knee high sock fit was fun and cute. Marks for the jumper with denim and another for the brogue shoes on their own. Those were the hits. Misses on body con sans proper undergarments. She’s a beauty still though.

  5. Artrecia your confidence makes me like you. I really liked your choices of prints and colors on the first collage, though the filters took away from the photos. I agree with sun.kissed, when you were fitted garmets, it’s best to wear a really good piece of shapewear to smooth out your silhouette. Shapewear makes a huge difference and will hide body bulge and accent your curves. Good Luck !

  6. Love the line about confidence….that said, flattering clothes have nothing to do with size but what the eye finds attractive. The black dress, shiny belt and the hot pink bag that adds a pop of color is quite nice.

  7. OMG. I loved each of her outfits until I seen the row of bodycon, spandex dresses. Like why even submit those photos???

Pretty girl, cute pieces, just throw out the spandex and dress for your size!

  8. I always wonder why people submit to be bombshell of the day but make sure to point out that they don’t care what other people think of them…. Wouldn’t that mean you didn’t care what we thought and wouldn’t care to show your pictures to us? But whatevs…. hits and misses. Everyone can’t wear everything. I don’t care how big or how small you are, fit it so very important.

  9. No…..just No! I think “confidence” is an overused word when it comes to certain featured Bombshells. At the risk of sounding mean, I believe you can be plus sized AND fashionable. I have seen several ladies featured who were quite fashionable. However, I also happen to believe there IS such a thing as “figure flaws” and those should be downplayed Instead Of shown off. Too many times it’s ones figure flaws that are accentuated “wrapped up” in the word confidence.

  10. unfortunately…this style is rampant through houston. not a fan of this city…le sigh.

  11. The more casual outfits are cute..however..I do feel people should dress more for their size. The club outfits were a no no. I am a size 10, and some things I just cannot wear. Confidence is great..but we all need to be real with ourselves. Cute girl, OK style.

  12. Pretty face, love the various hairstyles in the pics, but not diggin’ most of the fashions. I don’t know why some big girls wear the loudest prints they can find. All these do is make you look bigger. How come your shoes do not match a lot of your outfits? I mean they’re not even remotely close to being in the same color family.

But hey, you don’t look bad. It all seems to work for you, so if you’re happy, keep doing you.

  13. before anyone chooses to go in I am not a hater…. I love style, fashion and everything that it entails…. I love to see styles that are uniquely you… It’s great to be confident in yourself as we all should…. but to say you wear what compliments your body is not the case in a lot of these pix… Some of these skirts/dresses were extremely ill fitting and so unflattering… I can definitely see potential in her style but keep working at it…

  14. Other than the three pics with the t-shirts, I thought her style was cute. Some great shoes too.

  15. ummmmm no! it looks like she threw her entire closet on top of her. Mess…Mess…Mess. Definitely noooooooo Fashionbombshell here. NEXT—>

  16. It looks like Artrecia has evolved over time as some pics she’s really big and other’s not so much. Regardless of her size, her confidence shines through and I like that she’s not afraid of colors or patterns. I think tailored fits work on any SIZE so that’s my only note.

  17. Everything was CUTE, until the pics of the neon body con skirt and animal print top, blue skirt with the polka dot tube shirt, black and neon body con dress, and animal print body con skirt and brown shirt.. Those outfits were not flattering at all, sadly..

  18. I loved each and everyone of your looks!!!! Super FAB and trendy. Keep doing you mama

  19. I loved her confidence. I dont get the part about her not following trends…because most of her looks were trendy. I feel with the right under garmet most of her looks would have been nice. I respect her for her courage. All in all….DO YOU! But dont be ashamed of a good spanx

  20. I was excited to see another fellow plus size bombshell but I was disppointed with this submission. Some of the looks were figure flattering but the clubwear looks with the double stomach displayed is HORRIBLE. Confidence is not delusion. Please I beg of the plus size world stop embracing this f*ck flattering movement and find clothes that highlight your best assets not emphasize the flaws. Great shoe collection, love your use of color just hate the too tight let’s pretend my stomach doesn’t exist clubwear. We gots to do better.

  21. foolery. sorry. and not trying to be negative. i want to see you look HOT and know you can!

  22. I’m gonna have to go with a no thank you for this one. Looking stylish and fabulous is not limited to skinny girls. I’ve seen plus size women who look very put together! When you’re plus size and tend to wear clothing that doesn’t fit or flatter your frame, you end up looking like this. There’s a way to do things and a way not to…ijs.

  23. You know what, you all are being bullies. All you have to type is Yes I love her style or No I don’t, the extra and over dramatic comments can be kept. I feel most of you who typed negative things have so many insecurities do to your flaws and you made an opportunity to tare this young lady down. Constructive Criticism and negativity is two different things. Claire was nearly the only one who was positive about her constructive criticism and a few others. Who the hell made y’all best dress, let people live. Sometimes y’all go to far with your comments. Solely say you like it or don’t, I’m sure she doesn’t care for your advice. Everyone doesn’t have the same style and if it’s not your taste don’t worry. Literally what are y’all trying to do being so negative? This comment section is disappointing it really has turned me all the way off from this fashion bombshell stuff.

  25. You guys went clean in. Sometimes it’s best to just keep scrolling. Some of the comments were ridiculous. Say your piece nicely and move around. Wow.

  26. Dress for your body. Note: A body conscious dress is only good for those that are always conscious of their body, clearly she is not. Just because they make it in your size, does not mean you should wear it. Why is everything too tight on her and non-flattering? No ma’am!!

  27. Confidence= overweight girls having the audacity to wear items that do NOT compliment their frames. If this isn’t an attempt to be “trendy”, then I don’t know what is…

  28. i really like that black and white dress with the yellow shoes oh the life she gave me i would work that dress but ne way i like her classy looks not feeling thw white and black pants and biggie shirt keep it classy thats ur best suite

  29. You look amazing, and I love how you experiment with color and print, you obviously get the if it isn’t broke dont fix it motto. Dont let these simple minded haters bother you!!!

  30. She is a cute girl, but the body is over shadowing her fashion. Fashion is about proportion and she is all over the place, the prints don’t do anything for her. People are different shapes and sizes, however why is it that big peeps always tryin to force people to say their bodies are on point? You cant have everything, you get to inhale a dozen donuts call people jerks when they point it out and then use words like “confidence” to disguise being over weight. This is self abuse. And don’t write nothin about me not being a doctor either, I have eyes and I know what I see.

  31. This has got to be a joke right??There is no way this lady actually thinks these clothes look good on her. This is absolutely horrendous but I’m going to play nice and offer some constructive criticism. First off, I’m sure you’ve heard this a million times, but you gotta lose the weight. You are a very pretty lady, beautiful even, but as you can see from many of these comments your weight is a huge problem and it becomes the main focal point, not your fashion. Secondly, please stop wearing bodycon dresses and find clothes that flatter you. I should not be able to see the rolls of fat under your clothes. Last but not least get rid of your friends because they are not your friends, I’m sure they talk about you behind your back.

  32. I actually didn’t mind the bodycon looks. I don’t think every plus size woman has to choose clothing that skims over their flaws.

I think she should wear her blazers unbuttoned and ditch the skinny belts.

  33. She’s wearing too many body con outfits…from the pants to the dresses to the skirts, it all looks ill fitting and puts a spotlight on her flaws (which we all have). She also is wearing too many jackets, which can be slimming and help one to look “pulled together”, but the button is pulling on all of them, making them look low-cost and like she’s busting out. She does not dress for her body and is quite trendy, so maybe she does not know herself. Also, I’m sorry, but long weave is not for everyone. Why is everyone wearing so much hair, whether it flatters or not. It looks a little cheap and does not help her style. Cut that weave into an asym bob (A-line) to frame your face and slim your shoulders (like in the pic with the red shirt), spotlight your cute face…and enhance your fierce factor.

  34. Very pretty face. The black dress could be a template for what works! You rocked a bob in one photo – super cute! The other styles are just as @Kia suggested – too much hair. I wholeheartedly encourage you to abandon the short-short and body con looks. They steal your beauty. Your bombshell looks: the black dress & black/white pants with the blue shoes. Sorry some of these comments are so mean …. Chin up Buttercup!

  35. The HATE is real! I loved some of your outfits; some I did not like. I think you have style but you can home it a lol bit more.

And also down with the skinny B****es haaaaaaaating. Big girls can wear prints. Big girls can actually where loud and colorful things. Have several seats! That’s some terrible karma y’all are going to have.
I’d love to see a few of YOU as “bombshells” of the day….

  36. Down with the skinny Bs hating! Big girls can do what they want! No I’m not a big girl but please provide some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, you all are just rude.

  37. girl, you are a Bombshell! Your style was waayyyy better than the last three I’ve seen. I love it! people need to focus on your style and not your size. Keep doing you, boo! Peace.

  38. Coming from a fellow plus-sized fashionista, I applaud your confidence! It definitely shows in a lot of your pictures. I like most of the looks. My only issue is that in the series of club outfits, the first thing my eye is drawn to is your stomach and you have such a beautiful smile and nice chi-chis!! I am also very busty, and I found that V-necks and wrap dresses are my friends! Bodycon skirts are cool if you like them, but try pairing them with longer tops! Can’t wait to see your next submission!

  39. @Disappointed I love this: “Please I beg of the plus size world stop embracing this f*ck flattering movement and find clothes that highlight your best assets not emphasize the flaws.”

And have to admit that the “f*ck flattering movement” made me LOL!
